Let's hope it's not like the multi-platform licensed movie games that came out when the films did.

I actually thought they were pretty fun. Good hack-and-slash romps, anyways.

But not The Fellowship of the Ring... no, not that one... ugh...

I imagine this game will be much more action-oriented and focused on a single character... flush out a backstory, etc...

@ Dustin

Yeah. I enjoyed them quite a bit too. Although Fellowship was pretty bad, the second and third were fun.

Also, it's 'anyway' there is no such word as 'anyways'.

I liked RotK.
Anyhoo, they could really do anything with that world and somebody'd buy it.

Someday, Ludwig, when your time has come and you're standing before the pearly gates to have your life judged by St. Peter, they're going to look back on this blog posting. And despite all the good you've done in your life, including that time when you single-handedly saved London from the Super Nazis in 2024, they will look upon that awful pun and send you straight to Hell.

It's actually been a while since the last sub-par LoTR game. I look forward to not playing this.

That pun made me weep.

And I mean that in the nicest way possible.

The only reason that awful pun worked is the expression on Gandalf's face. Well done, Ludwig.

It could be related to the Hobbit movie. (pt 1 is supposed to release in 2010).

Could this be based on the two new movies based around the hobbit?

Every single time someone crits an orc when my friends and I play Dnd, it is absolutely mandatory that someone says that line. Really.

Adam Sessler just straight stole your whole "Now that's what I'm Tolkien about" followed by an acknowledgement of the badness of the joke thing on XPlay tonight. I guess it's good to know his writers read your blog and like your jokes, right?

I just want a singleplayer version of LOTRO.

I wanna run around pretty environments and imagine i'm in Middle Earth... but i don't want to pay a monthly fee to do it.
