Rumor: Classic GTA, Street Fighter Alpha coming to PSN

What's that? You can't wait until PSN Thursday to find out what's coming to the PS3's download network. You want some kind of insider info to find out what might be coming in the next few weeks or months. Well that's just greedy, and we're not afraid to tell you so.

But we're not above enabling your greed either, so we'll pass along the latest rumors of what's coming, courtesy of England's Official PlayStation Magazine. According to the latest issue, original PlayStation classics Grand Theft Auto 1 and 2 will soon be available for download, along with Street Fighter Alpha. No word on when they're coming or how credible the magazine's information is, but beggars can't be choosers. So, uh, stop begging.

You're either retarded or just a youngin'. GTA 1 was the best game on the PC I ever played outside of Quake II online. Man, the memories of just driving around stealing cars and running people over from that overhead "helicopter" view was awesome.

i'm neither but thanks for playing. The first two GTAs just rubbed me the wrong way, mainly because of the craptastic over the head view and because it was on PC..two big no no's when it comes to gaming for me.

GTA 1 and 2 are free.

I played those games,GTA was ridiculous for the way you hide the corpes in the trunk and stuff,I mean it was all in 2D and it looked almost as spy hunter.

I played GTA 2 and I didn't like it.

I know they are free on the PC, I wonder how much they will try to charge for a game that is available free elsewhere.

I'm not particulary fond of the GTA games. They were just never fun to me, except Vice City and that's only because I liked the setting.

That said, I am looking forward to GTA IV as it seems to have several innovations.

lol what? Innovations? Look man, if you didn't like any version other than Vice City (only because of the setting for that matter) then IV aint bringing a damn thing to the table that is gonna sway you over. GTA went down hill after 3, although ppl rode VC and SA for all they were worth.

IV will never top 3 like 3 topped 2 and 1. Never happen. Never will.

i played the original gta's to death when i was 12/13. i tried them again recently and wasn't really feeling them. they've aged.

I liked the sandbox style of play in the original GTA's, but never got into it like I did the 3D incarnations. GTA 1 is just too damn hard, and GTA 2 was a crummy sequel once you got past the visual improvements. Plus, the two games are available to download and play for free on Rockstar's website - why would you buy them?
