7 Spore posts in a row?!?! Don't you guys might be getting just a little too much wood over this game. Maybe I'm just mad because my comps wont run it but I think it's time to pause and reflect.

Curse my inability to proof-read!
why not the LS2LS7? @ Feb 13th 2008 3:24AM
I've played enough Wil Wright "games" to know better than to expect much.
Is this the next SimCity or the next SimLife?
That video totally says "Viva Pinata" to me. Even the mention that you've domesticated a species in the corner says so.
Crono (NDF - Knight of the Old School) @ Feb 13th 2008 11:32AM
You know, I haven't heard you say anything positive about a game in weeks. Maybe you should look into another hobby.
Purple Haze @ Feb 13th 2008 3:31AM
Any idea of system requirements? I don't know enough about the Wii version to warrant buying that so I'm hoping my pc will run it.
Hudders @ Feb 13th 2008 8:40AM
Will Wright has said in the past that he wants people who are running Sims2 right now to be able to run Spore; check out the specs for that and it gives you an idea.
Esat @ Feb 13th 2008 4:15AM
This game could (potentially) be one of the greatest games released in ages....
mcatrage @ Feb 13th 2008 8:21AM
So in other words get ready for biggest disappointment of all time.
SugarDaddy @ Feb 13th 2008 9:08AM
Yuck. This game looks retarded. Anyone remember Nightmare Creatures? I see Spore being a blown up version of that piece of crap. I just want to gouge out my eyes from the cuteness of this game. Even the ugly monsters have a cuteness. Definitely not for me....
Markez @ Feb 13th 2008 10:14AM
Does anybody even care about this game anymore? Or will anyone once this turd finally releases? I just don't understand why this game is getting so much hype. Nothing about the graphics or what I've read about the game is really that compelling. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn
Crono (NDF - Knight of the Old School) @ Feb 13th 2008 11:44AM
Idiots, all of you.
Alcevious @ Feb 13th 2008 4:23AM
Leave it to Joystiq to make me sick of a game I've been waiting for for more than 2 years.
markhill66 @ Feb 13th 2008 4:53AM
7 Spore posts in a row?! That has to be some kind of record.

I haven't played a game I felt was made for me for a few years now.
Spore. Show me how to love again.
Skinnypupp @ Feb 13th 2008 7:51AM
I'm fn sick of Spore already. ENOUGH!
xGeneral DEATHx @ Feb 13th 2008 8:22AM
This doesn't look like my cup o' tea, but a lot of people seem to be excited about it. I don't know, it just seems like a more open-ended Viva Pinata to me (and yes, I know the concept of Spore has been around longer than VP). Perhaps its timing may also be its undoing?
Mr Khan @ Feb 13th 2008 9:54AM
Possibly. Daikatana is an example of a potentially epic, world-changing game that was famously made into one of the worst games of all time (I'd put it at #4 behind ET, Superman 64, and Plumber's Don't Wear Ties) simply by timing.
CassilineKnight @ Feb 13th 2008 8:40AM
Uh ohh....when Joystiq starts hyping up a game you better watch out.
This has the classic symptoms of IGNitis.
Which means this game could be epic fail.
But then again I really hope not since its been a while since the last time I played a sim type of game.
timnc @ Feb 13th 2008 8:44AM
Spore, the new Super Smash Bros. Brawl
T @ Feb 13th 2008 8:49AM
With how Joystiq's front page looks at the moment...I think a more appropriate title would be "Spore media burnout".
Seriously. It wasn't even this bad for Halo 3.
opnickc @ Feb 13th 2008 9:06AM
"A peak into Will Wright's office"
A 'peak'? So, am I to believe Will Wright had a mountaintop moved into his office?
deaftly @ Feb 13th 2008 9:58AM
ok guys , enough of the spore stuff for today
driven2sin @ Feb 13th 2008 10:56AM
anus splatter - that is what W squared came up with
Dr0ooo @ Feb 13th 2008 12:07PM
I can not wait for this game to get released so that die hard conservatives can start attacking this game by saying it is forcing evolution on our children. Intelligent design...yatta yatta yatta...controversy ensues and if we're lucky fox will run another unfair story supporting the conservatives who hate the game.
Watch, i bet you it's gonna happen
Crono (NDF - Knight of the Old School) @ Feb 13th 2008 1:30PM
If anything, this game is even more re-inforcement FOR intellegent design.
Unless you want to say that the player isn't intellegent.
Kevin @ Feb 13th 2008 12:33PM
I'm going to buy this game whether I can run or not.If I can't then, I will play it on my cousin's PC. Will Wright's games have been pretty PC friendly. Well, except Sim City Societies, I don't think Will Wright was totally responsible for that one.
jay @ Feb 13th 2008 2:02PM
Looking at that picture, I can't wait for "Spore: Party Animals" to come out...
Dr0ooo @ Feb 13th 2008 7:41PM
TO: Crono NDF Knights of the old school - I do agree that the game does advance the cause of intelligent design. When it comes to either of the two theories I really do not care, However I do believe that this game will garner significant controversy in the media for its nature. Its only a matter of time.
Elreth @ Feb 14th 2008 7:11PM
So much spore, so little ability to warp time to when it comes out...
