Today in Joystiq: February 13, 2008
In a way, having a framed picture of this Portal-Escher hybrid (full image via Kotaku) would feel refined. It'd go great next to our framed photos of LEGO Eschers. Check out the highlights for today:

Hey Fernando,
Remember how you were talking about being able to get some Wavebird controls for GC/Wii? I need to pick some up. I'd prefer to get 4, if you can arrange it.

Why the hell is that not desktop-sized?

Kinda cool linking to Kotaku like that. I'm a little freaked out, though.

All of the portals in the world can't justify this room if gravity still falls in the same direction.

yay, great to see that here! ive had that for my wallpaper for the past week or so. better late than never, lol!
Geist @ Feb 14th 2008 5:00AM
Ok, look, it's easy, just put a portal around there, have the box land on the switch, become a quantum being, split a quark, and then just walk through the door. They're making these waaaaay too easy.
Korova @ Feb 14th 2008 6:38AM
There doesnt seem to be much escher-like about this thing. One can actually build it in RL. I thought the whole thing with Escher is that something physically impossible appears to be possible in drawing.
This arrangement is physically possible, it would just be bizzare. Anyway, it is pretty cool. I dont want to spoil anyone's fun.
Geist @ Feb 14th 2008 8:16AM
Nothing here is physically impossible? The platforms that hover on beams of light would like to talk with you hmmm.
Oh I kid. I assume the reference is to this: http://www.worldofescher.com/gallery/A9L.html
Zorink @ Feb 14th 2008 11:38AM
No, it would be this(check the title on both):

Also, in lego

I meant something like this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Escher_Waterfall.jpg
But I am wrong, they are not all physical impossibilities. A lot of them just have multiple gravity orientations. This portal map would be one of them.
