@TRev:

I think you are a self-righteous prick, Who thinks he knows it all.

You just bored the shit out of me with that stupid rant.

Please, make us all a favor and just read some post instead of trying to post on every thing you see. We are tired of you calling everyone "asshats", and trying to impose your opinion on everyone. I bet you'll look smarter if you shut up.

PS: I don't hate you, just lay off the Red bull man.

It includes about 50% of the sales. This easily a large enough sample to project total sales from.

Elections are routinely projected (with over a 99% correct rate) by polling less than 2% of voters.

Haha – This has been one of the most entertaining threads in months.

I'm to lazy to do it, but I'd be interested to see how these numbers compare to, say, October 07's numbers, since that was about the last time things were "normal" before the holiday rush set it.

SOMEBODY GO FIND THOSE NUMBERS FOR ME!

Maybe they will make more games now since it's obviously doing much better and even videophiles will be looking to buy games too...

Just a thought...

Wow, even though everybody's down, and the 360 sold the least, everybody still posted really good numbers. Only 44k difference between the Wii and the 360.

1. Fanboys please grow up.

2. I know these are American sales figure, but please remember there is wider global sales picture to take into account.

I never thought you'd be a fanboy, because fanboys are so passe.

"The number are exactly whats going on right now. shortages or not, 360 still got outsold."

Jesus Christ! Who left the gate open at the retard farm? Did you even READ that before you posted it.
Shortages or not, the 360 still got outsold? Hmmm, not hard to do when there are shortages. Go sit in the corner dumbass.

PS3 sales are up 37% over last year.

2007: 244k (5 weeks, 48.8k/wk)
2008: 269k (4 weeks, 67.3k/wk)

That puts the PS3 on track to selling about 9-10M for this fiscal year and 14-18M over the next. The Xbox 360 has yet to break 9M in a fiscal year.

The only thing the Xbox 360 really had going for it was its one year lead. By next year, that will be gone or too small to care about.

I know I bought a PS3 last month because I couldn't find a premium Xbox 360 in any stores. I figured both cost about the same (once you figure in Xbox live) and most games I want to play are on both systems, so in the end I decided to buy the one that was available.

A 3rd-party Wii game in the top 10?

Quick: Start rationalizing!

I think what should really be pointed out here isn't the fact that the 360 got beat by the PS3, it's that all three systems were only separated by around 40k units. It hasn't ever been that close in a single month before.

I am tired of people trying to justify the PS3 doing good..."There was an XBOX 360 shortage..." what a pathetic excuse. If they really wanted an XBOX that bad why can't they just wait another month or two? There's no way around it guys the PS3 is back and its back with a vengeance

Yeah, I feel funny buying 2 360's.. The obvious choice for gamers.. lol! -Wow... A PS3 SDF'er using something a 360/wii user would say to a PS3 owner!

Rich.. forreal. -Classic.
