Rock Band bundle only $149 at Target this week
If the price is the only thing holding you back from Rock Band, then you might want to swing buy your local Target sometime this week. Starting today, Target's offering the PS3 and 360 versions of the special edition bundle for $149 USD, $20 off the normal price.
The offer's only good from the 17th to the 23rd, and sadly doesn't apply to the PS2 version. Despite those setbacks, it's still the cheapest we've seen the Rock Band bundle thus far. If you've already purchased the game, maybe this is a sign to buy it for a friend (or your favorite blogger who might have a birthday coming up...)
[Thanks, Jon B]

It's certainly better than Wal-Mart.
Cesaria... Friend Code? =)
get paid a little above minimum wage, and when the annual "pay increase" comes around, no one ever gets the full amount, they cut your hours to nothing (i was cut recently to one day a week, almost got fucking evicted cause of it), and if you do get another job they don't talk to anyone outside the company so its like you're working for nothing, no creditability.
Basically anyone you meet who complains about their job a shitload, 65% of the time I bet you it's target. Well at least that's my experience. Fuck Target.

I'm well aware that they are different. But for a rhythm game, Stepmania works well enough for me.
Though I'm very tempted to use the argument elsewhere now... "Until the PS3 rivals the cost of stepmania, I'll pass!"
Also, I might pick up a PS3 if it was free. :D

Apparently they have the drums separate now for $80, as well.

As for the matter of DLC replacing the need for a sequel, I'm not familiar with half the music they put in these games anyways. Odd's are, the games (out of about 70 songs) end up with about 10-20 songs that I really like and will keep on playing often. I don't want to pay for a song that I might not end up liking - the song is just as much the actual music and lyrics as it is the notes on screen - I really like Killswitch Engage as a song, but it was a crap song to play in GH3.

...then again, the joy I had over the past months compared to 20 bucks is irrelevant.
