You own 68 Brooks & Dunn songs?

Are you Brooks or Dunn?

How many of those are remixes of Boot Scootin Boogie?

Actually only two, the original on their first album, and their own remix that appeared on their second album. They have 11 albums or so (I only have 6).

How come you only own 87 Beatles songs? You need at least 100.

Maybe you should try "Heroin Hero". You chase the dragon but you don't actually catch him.

This is great news though, Activision is copying Rock Band and will have vocals. I was wondering about this when the rumor of a Guitar Hero: U2 was circulating around the same time as the Aerosmith rumors. U2 songs make for far better karaoke than guitar. Bring it on.

Aerosmith kicks ass. If you dont like them, dont buy the game. I think they are one of the greatest American bands of all time.

theres no fucking way im buying another guitar, mic and drum set.

if its not backwards compatible with what exits (and any rockband sequel while im at it) i wont be buying it.

im not looking forward to having multiple sets of drums, guitars, and mics sitting around.

Considering that Activision went out of its way to make sure your rock band guitar isn't even plugged in when you play GH3, I'd say chances of cross platform compatibility is slim to none.

I say there is nothing wrong with Aerosmith. They did get a little too mainstream and sickening, but they still have really classic music.

As to a drum and mic peripheral. They better not have exclusive crap like they're doing with the guitar. I'm not buying another drum set. Having 2-3 guitars is one thing. I'm not going to have 2 plastic drums. Unless of course the Guitar Hero drum set is A LOT better than the Rock Band.

Activision had better grow a pair, swallow it's pride...and let Harmonix release that patch pretty soon. Because anybody who wants a mic, guitar, and drums all in one already has Rock Band.

And you are NOT going to get somebody who already has Rock Band to buy a full second set of peripherals. I arleady have three guitars. I don't need two drums and two mics as well.

This game sounds more and more like a big bucket of fail every time I read about it. And I honestly still like Guitar Hero...

What the fuck else are the comments for? Shit, what else are opinions for? If someone came in your house and punched you in the face, you'd probably be vocal about it.
And yes, this game is comparable to a punch in the face.

Since the original value of my post was ruining by my typo, I might as well say this to the ill-informed:

Posted by Neversoft Staff member Chris Vance:
"As fans progress through their careers in the game, they can rock out to scores of Aerosmith's greatest hits, as well as songs from celebrated artists that the band has either performed with or has been inspired by in some way."

Not just Aerosmith songs. There will be some variety.
I am expecting 30 Aerosmith songs, and then 10-20 bonus songs.

Great analogy. However, at certain times in their history, the Niners have been indisputably the best at what they do.

How about Guitar Hero: Aerosmith = Madden: Minnesota Vikings? They both did their best work in the '70s.

they forgot to tell you that it also includes all the support bands from over the years which will make up the rest of the tracks

I definitely agree that Guitar Hero:Corporate Jingles is a terrible friggin idea. The whole concept of focusing on one band kind of feels like it cheapens the franchise.

I don't know why everybody is so down on Aerosmith, though. They have a huge catalog of songs that truly rock. I don't think anybody can REALLY argue against them being one of the greatest American bands. And as far as musicianship goes, they can't be matched in a rock band. They could fill a game like this with great songs pretty easily.

But, I would have to vote that for this game not to exist. The last thing I want to see is a landslide of guitar hero sellouts with no attention to detail just thrown together for the mere sake of capitalization.

Ya know early Aerosmith is great, Drug free Aerosmith sucks. However, since rock band came out I have no interest in playing fake plastic guitars anymore, if they are truely adding drums to it, I would definately buy it, otherwise I have no plans to buy ANY guitar only based rhythm games anymore.

I think Activision sorta killed it by releasing "Dream On" as free DLC for GH3. "Dream On" is easily the greatest song by Aerosmith, and the only one I would have wanted to play :p.

This article is incorrect. The description is "This adventure for the amazing Guitar Hero series puts you in the shoes of Aerosmith members Joe Perry, Brad Whitford and Tom Hamilton as you rock out alongside lead singer Steven Tyler and drummer Joey Kramer."

Joe, Brad and Tom are the guitarists, they play alongside Steven and Joey. It never says that you will play as Steven and Joey.

The real question is did Aerosmith teach RUN-DMC to rock or did RUN-DMC teach Aerosmith how to groove?

Seriously, Guitar Hero Aerosmith ranks well below my desire to see Led Zepplen, AC/DC, Police, U2, The Who, Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Eagles, Queen, Foreigner, The Clash, and on and on.

I know Activision is basing this on the availability of artists who own their catalogue and are willing to license on the cheap to get a bit of cash, but being able to play as a glamrock band, not my cut of tea.

Say what you all will, but think about it... No other american 'band' has the presence of aerosmith, their swagger or any of it. Most of the stuff you guys list are nothin but a bunch of guys, who may be more 'talented', but have no presence or character. Its like trying to make a cartoon with people who dont have good cartoon voices or radio personalities with people who have no personality...ever listen to college radio youll get the point its terrible. besides aerosmith's story is the best of them all, read the book VERY entertaining and best of all its not boastful.

A band like aerosmith should NOT AND NEVER deserve a game to themselves....activision is now definatly screwed..they should've just put "Dream on","walk this way" only in the next guitar hero.....but since they are doing this, they beter not put another aerosmith song in any installments after this.

they should've done either Iron Maiden,Guns N' Roses,
Van Halen,or Metallica..

but im still gonna get it though cause im a guitar hero freak lol

One thing that this article doesn't mention is the fact that this game is not strictly for Aerosmith. If you stop by a game store that has the stand for this game, it mentions "Play as Aerosmith... AND their favorite bands."
