I still don't regret getting a PS3 for Blu-Ray. The PS3 is a better movie player than the 360...

- Quieter
- More reliable (RRoD)
- Drive is integrated into the console
- MUCH better upscaling of SD DVDs*

* HQV benchmark: PS3-120/130, 360-20/130

A 360 BR player, preferablely internal, will definitely keep me 360 exclusive. This will put the big hurt on PS3 sales.

I agree. While initially I think the PS3 helped win the format war, the console war is a bit different.

Why pay 399 for a player, when you can get one for 150ish (assuming a similar price to the hd-dvd addon)

@ Crono.

The PS3 is rated better than a stand alone player where? In playstation magazines and sites.

WTF are you talking about? Look on any respectable site and you'll see you are very wrong. What you said is, seriously, the most idiotic and misinformed thing I have ever heard.

And the rabid Sony Fanboys declaring the 360 "dead in the water" slowly fade as MS releases the Blu-Ray Add-on player without skipping a beat.

Hopefully they enjoyed being able to ring the death bell...even if it was for 2-3 hours.

I would have liked to have seen Blu-ray tank. But I suppose that was unlikely with Sony forcing it into homes across the country thanks to the PS3 "gaming" system.
