I bring you Tetris: form of Wii.

This is interesting, but will all future homebrew projects require Twilight Princess. I only say this because I really have no intention of parting with my money for a 3D Zelda game.

And if you intend to use homebrew, you're gonna need to mod your Wii. So you have other options besides buying TP.... that is, if you don't care about the whole legal thing to it.

Um... no.

If you read the original article (linked to the words "Twilight Hack", above) you'll read that the hack "requires nothing more than an SD card and a copy of Twilight Princess -- no hardware modding needed." Where's the illegality? This is also about homebrew, not about running bootleg copies of games.

This is just the beginning, I'm pretty sure they will be able to do some sort of a "Hombrew Channel" that'll quickly load the Homebrew stuff. And the initial requirement would be buying/renting Zelda, doing the hack, then ditch the game afterwards.

I thought it need modding, so I hinted that he could get a pirate version of TP.

if you pause at 0:39 you can see him in the reflection of the TV. he's smoking a joint.

Lol not quite, he's holding his camera pointing toward the TV and tries to manipulate the GC controller sitting on his lap with one hand. Even though that looks like he is high -he's actually not. Wonder what you've been doing before watching that video =) But I don't have time to write any more it's 4:20 already.

You know it's a joint from a square-y reflection? I'm guessing you've had a few before or still enjoy a few? Bad habit that.
It's good news to hear, hopefully there'll be a way to get rid of dual channels and like some have said a homebrew channel....

The good n the bad will come of this. Nintendo fights piracy so their goin to be taking down anyone who tries to exploit it for profit. But I hope that those who want to use it for homebrew will get to because i think a lot of guys who dont have the opportunity to work for a company to make video games will be able to bring their point of view on how the wii should work. Maybe we'll see some guy or girl programmer design something great that just amazes the gaming media.
