I would rather play a single player Halo 4 game because I just don't have time to play online games these days what with the 17 month old twins and all.

I think I would rather be Master Chief in Halo 4. I'm not sure a MMO would appeal to me. I just want to frag.

I still want halo4 to come out, but I voted Halo MMO, this series has, up to now , had only straight sequels. I want to see more types of games that take part in thi halo universe. Im sure Bungie will still get a say in the projects and that will almost assure quality games.

next would you rather ... Shadowrun ????

A Halo MMO would fail because it's not WoW. That's it. Don't waste the time making a crappy MMO when you have a guaranteed hit by making H4.

if they made the monthly payment of this MMO at $0, i would vote for it. I'd rather participate in an engaging story then frag n00bs.

The only thing that's kept me away from MMO's is the subscription fee. I refuse to play anything that requires a subscription.

Subscriptions are a trap. You pay for the time whether you're playing or not and if you're paying then you may as well be playing then you're stuck playing a game even when you really don't want to just because you're paying for it then if a bunch of your friends bail on it or you just get bored you stop and cancel your subscription then later if you get the urge to play it for a weekend you have to re-subscribe for a period of time just to get a day or two of game time in.

For it to be worth the money you have to play it all the time. I'd rather not play them at all then go through all that.

Halo, Halo2, and Halo3 have all been brilliant games, and I feel that a new Trilogy could easily be made continuing on from the ending of Halo 3.

Alternatively a pre-quel could be made in which you play as the Master Chief, but set around the fall of Reach and the destruction of the Spartans, up until the point the chief is put in stasis on the Autumn in Halo opening FMV.

Whereas a MMO would be tedious.

I like to think the Marvel Universe MMO died due to them realizing that 100,000 Spider-Men wouldn't work out well. Same for any Main Character in any other MMO...

I think Bungie foreshadowed the next part of the Halo story in the opening sequence of H3. Cortana talking about selecting John as her Master Chief and all that. It's gonna a prequel. Personally i think they should branch off entirely and do something on the non-human side. I think they should come up with a Halo Jr. thing for the kids. A 3rd person platformy thing where you play as a grunt. Or Lego Halo. That'd be the jam.

Much as I don't like Halo anyway, at least in Halo 4 there would be a greater semblance of a plot. I can't stand online games, either.

I think Master Chief is kind of a dumb character, no offense to anyone but I'd rather play as my own custom made Spartan.

Then.....you kind of don't know the Chief, or much about Spartans for that. Spartans are not interesting characters personailty-wise at all, MMO with everyone as a spartan would sux.

OH. MY. GAWD.
Halo MMO? Do we REALLY want the people who play Halo online right now to be TALKING and generally being UGLY and OBNOXIOUS (and 10 years old) on an MMO????!!!!

Please MAKE IT GO AWAY!!!!

I like the concept, but if it was to actually be executed, it would be such a terrible experience to play, I don't think it'd be worth it.

John-117 in his adventure after Halo 3, not called Halo 4. But preferably his attempt at survival on a new dangerous world surrounded by an entire multi-species civilization.

@ Mike 453:

Maybe I'm not steeped in Halo mythology like you are, I've only played Halo 3 but I know a silly character when I see one. At least with my own character I'd be able to put myself into the game a little more.

As far as I'm concerned, the only game in the Halo series that had a good story was the first - everything afterward was rather predictable, and repetitive (oh, here's the library level... wondering when this was going to get around in the single player...) which really leaves the multiplayer, and if done right, adding MMO to the Halo formula could work out really well.

Why fix something that is not broken? MMO I think would be a mistake, Halo fans are fraggers at heart.
I would rather play Master Chief in Halo 4, new worlds new challenges....
