Bungie unveils new Halo 3 map: Ghost Town

A bit earlier today, Bungie finally took the veil off of one third of this Spring's upcoming Halo 3 DLC (now officially called the "Legendary Map Pack") by showing off and discussing the first map, Ghost Town.

Ghost Town (formally known as "O.K. Corral") is a smaller, asymmetric map set inside an ancient, broken apart, vegetation ruled water purification complex. Inspiration for Ghost Town was pulled from the campaign's Sierra 117 level (with hints of Halo 2's Warlock as well), featuring lots of debris and a cool "jungle feel". Looks like a potentially good map. The last map pack was awesome so I hope they keep it up.

Awesome? LOL uh no. The Heroic Map Pack was NOT awesome. Rather lame and not worth 10 bux. Foundry, the way they have it set up as default is just lame. The other 2 were okay at best.
Ghost Town looks good but you cant really tell much from 3 pics. You have to get a feel for them first. I am hoping they do better with this round of maps.
Over all the maps on Halo 3 are not as good as they should be. When Halo 3 released, there shouldve been more maps included. If the maps dont get better then Halo 3 will have a hard time getting back that number one spot on Live. Great game, but come on Bungie. You're better than that. Dont let us down this time around.

Looks like it will be really fun for infection.

this map looks incredible! i have a very strong feeling that this round of DLC will be much better than the first round. Halo 3 ftw!

You can definitely see what was impossible on the original Xbox here. This is much better looking architecture than we've seen before in the Halo universe.

I know I'm dreaming, but it would be nice when Legendary releases, it would be released as a free map pack. This way Heroic becomes free and Bungie makes every Halo 3 user download both map packs before entering matchmaking.

Then maybe I could actually see the new maps without making custom games. To this day, I have yet to see any DLC map in matchmaking. Sure we'll see the Heroic pack more after Legendary releases, but that's only because it's free and you won't be able to play online without it.

I saw Foundry on Lone wolves once, but everyone vetoed it :( Those bastards...

It's possible that the maps featured veal in the earlier builds, and have since been made veal free or "unvealed". I, for one, am glad that there isn't any veal in the new maps.

Everyone tells me that cod4 looks better than halo.Look at this map the plants the buildings im sorry halo3 looks better.

People think COD4 looks better? Oh, of course, the fanboys.

The lighting in halo and color is far superior than cod4.Altho cod4's charecter models are nice halo3's maps look better.cod4 comes off dull likeo ther games out there.For some reason these game developers think the world has no color.When i see billboards with the color red the red isnt faded like in games when they try to make them look real.

Halo3 by far isnt a real looking game it isnt supposed to be.But the color is far better and the lighting in halo is far superior especially when the sun glistens off the models and the water etc.The trees alone in halo are amazing.

cod4 looks dull and up close the textures are garbage compared to halo3.

This map looks incredible, the lighting and shadows and everything about it looks great, now hopefully it plays good.
