If he doesn't make it through the heart attack, can I have the DS?

I obviously put too much effort into my responses.

Is it really possible to "put too much effort" into a response? Personally, I love to write -- don't you? If perchance I fail to win a DS Lite, at least I've had fun.

(Now if DSF disqualifies me consistently *because* I'm too wordy, I hope they'll let me know!)

Still, I don't think style or brevity won the Cobalt DS. What did, I suspect, was Peter's excellent reason for *wanting* it. He was honestly thinking of his friend; what's more, he didn't spoil the selflessness of his request with self-consciousness or drama. There should always be a place for sincere good will.

Well if he were having a heart attack while writing his email he wouldn't type "asdfjlfhlasdjfhlasdfhasldfhasljk", he'd just say it!

Actually, David's post wasn't too far off. When I got home from work and checked my e-mail, I saw the message and thought, "Oh bother, someone's pulling a prank." Then I noticed the e-mail originated from the @dsfanboy.com domain.

My wife and I now both have experiences entering a contest for the purpose of giving the prize, if won, to another person. (My wife's prize went to her brother, my prize will go to my best friend so we can play WiFi-capable games online after I move.) So don't be too jealous.

Also, this is the only thing I've ever won, with the exception of winning a t-shirt at my high school's graduation party. (What's even funnier is that it was an ESPN shirt--and I never watch ESPN.)

@Peter S: Maybe next time, man. It would be rather awesome to see two guys named Peter win consecutive contests.

Congratulations!

And just so you know, the whole DS Fanboy staff is jealous of you, too. :)

Hey, congratulations. And I don't know why some of these guys are being all jealous. Since they're visiting dsfanboy, I'm assuming they already own one :)

Congrats. A DS is a sweet free item and an amazing gift to give someone.

I never win and I always put effort into my responses. People who win for putting like little one liners are annoying.

(I'm just glad I don't have to uphold my promise to sing a serenade about DS Fanboy!)

Congratulations for living in the United States. I couldn't enter because I live in Canada, but I guess that's OK because I have free health care.

Well I guess he actually did deserve it more than me. Have fun on that internet... I would keep the Cobalt and give your old DS to your friend, but I'm a dick.

ditto.

Or or or. paint your old DS cobalt blue and give it to your friend. That way you sorta both have cobalt blue DSes. or something.
