GDC08: Telltale developing WiiWare episodic game, not Sam & Max

Buried in a press release sent out by Nintendo early yesterday is word that "a new episodic game series from Telltale" is coming to WiiWare. Apparently, Telltale was just as surprised as we were, writing on its company blog: "Nintendo just name-dropped us in a press release. I feel like we've hit the big time."

Telltale has just hired a smorgasbord of veteran talent, with Justin Chin and Brett Tosti specifically brought on for multiplatform development. While the duo will likely have a hand -- at least a dab of a fingertip -- in the WiiWare project, two anthropomorphic anarchists will not. Addressing the obvious, Telltale writes, "And before you ask -- no, [the game is] not Sam & Max."
