Well obviously this is some sort of confused middle-management issue. It'd help a buttload to be prepared at these things, wouldn't it?

Molyneux did hint that the feature would cause Fable 2 to "touch more of the outside world." = "DEMO" Maybe????????

A demo isn't a feature.

Ummm...why are we excited with this game again? The first one was terrible, they hype massive and the results dissappointing. I think I will wait and see first what the results are before believing the hype...

To say that Fable was terrible is just plain ridiculous, I'm sure that Fable 2 will not live up to its hype but I'm not sure any games do.

"The first one was terrible"

Have you even played Fable? I bought my Xbox for it- and damn it was worth it. Even if things were promised and did not show- that doesnt automaticlaly make it a bad game. The content was top notch. It is one of the best Xbox exclusives around.

"Either that, or the new feature is something entirely different: disappointment."

Why does different mean disappointment? That's shallow.

Peter is on G4 right now talking to XPlay about Fable 2. He says there will be several games you can play before the game is released. It looks like little pub games. Apparently, the gold you earn in those games will "magically" show up in your Fable 2 game when you are able to buy it. Is this that fourth feature?

I doubt it. He mentiened it 2 days ago in his speech too. It seems like a cool type of interaction between Arcade games and disc games though.

You doubt it? Did you guys pay attention to the GDC announcments at all?????

It has been stated that there will be an XBLA game before the release of Fable 2 that will feature some sort of mini-games that will allow future owners of Fable 2 to earn gold for use in the final game. Gold will be an important asset for the game.

My god, would help if someone would pay attention around here. Do a tad bit of research (Read: look towards the bottom of the articles page or the previous page) before starting your own little rumor fest.

I don't blame Molyneux for being hesitant to reveal features. 10 years ago the man would tell you all about his games and then some, but when all those features didn't make it into a final product (on Fable) the man received death threats.

Can you blame him really?

I understand what you're saying, but this isn't the same situation. Before, he was talking about all the features they wanted to add in Fable or Black & White years before the game shipped and those features were cut. This sounds like a feature that will certainly make it in to the game and he's just dangling it there for publicity. Which is fine if it's something good. Sometimes these announcements fall flat and announce a feature that's been done in other games. Like, for example, if they announced you can make your own items in the game. Well, you could do that in Oblivion, so if that's the fourth feature, it's going to disappoint some people.

I was thinking maybe this would be the first title to use Zune integration... If they have XBLA titles, it can be assumed XNA was used to develop them. Why not allow players to play pub games on the road and make money when away from home?

Hate to break it to you guys, but ONLINE CO-OP has not been confirmed. 2 player co-op yes, online not confirmed.

That's not to say it won't happen. To be honest, I think you can guarentee it will happen. However, they only talked about "bringing a friends profile to your house" and hitting the start button on a 2nd controller to jump in.

NO ONLINE CO-OP confirmation yet guys to those who said it's confirmed. Sorry!

"adversarial modes aren't out of the question. "

With that said, wouldn't it be cool if Fable 2 had an online mode where the main villain (or hero if you play through evil ) is you buddy (like crackdown should have been). The drunken brawls that would ensue would be classic.
