How can you cancel something that was never in development from the start, smarty pants?

Fernando

Please stop making these unwarranted, sensationalist, fanboy comments on Joystiq. Either start acting mature or get out.

It's not like we're Aperture Science, we don't do what we must because we can.

It's pretty interesting what Portal has left us for future games. Something pretty simple can be a great innovation for what the future beholds.

I think it's really interesting how the limitations of a small budget and tight time constraints lead to Portal being the incredible and unique title it turned out to be.

It reminds me of "A New Hope." Considering how the prequels turned out, it's a terrifying excercise to consider what the original film would have been like, given an unlimited budget and no time constraints.

The idea of using your constraints to your creative advantage is a great thing to learn. The new Battlestar Galactica had the same "problem" where they wanted a huge army of Cylon robots at the beginning, but since they couldn't afford it they just decided, "What if the Cylons looked like people?" Turns out thats one of the best parts of the new shows.
