Unreal Tournament III gets PS3 user-created LEGO mod

Love playing Unreal Tournament 3? Love LEGOs? Then you're going to be thrilled by this bit of news. A talented gamer has created a LEGO-inspired UT3 mod for the PS3 version of the multi-platform shooter.

The coolest part of this mod has got to be watching the LEGO blocks break apart when you fire at them. It would've been equally fun to have the ability to build stuff back up, but that would probably distract players from killing each other like they're suppose to.

www.UT3MOD.com, great DM map, almost everything is distructable.

when you get it off the site, download it, but take the .JAM file out of the folder and put it in the folder you already have for UT mods in PS3/SAVEDATE because the folder it comes in is for European UT 3 owners. the Mod folders UT3 reads for US users are named different and US UT3 games will not recognize it. Also, the map is nice, but the guy needs to take out the trees and detail out side of the course because there are some spots where a drop in FPS occurs. But its fun

what is the name of the mod folder?

Move the USERDATA.JAM file (Lego map) from its BLES00200-MODIMPORT and put it into a folder called BLUS30086-MODIMPORT which is under PS3/SAVEDATA

the colors of this mod reminds me alot of that old southpark game on PS1 and N64. lol. remember having the snowballs and pissin on em as an alt fire type of thing.

how exactly do u upload this mod to your ps3 after downloading it.( wat do u put it on to transfer to a ps3)

USE A USB DRIVE/MS DUO, PUT THE USERDATA.JAM FILE IN THE FOLLOWING FILE DIRECTORY THEN PUT INTO YOUR PS3, GO INTO COMMUNITY IN THE UT3 MENU AND IMPORT.

US:-
PS3 -> SAVEDATA -> BLUS30086-MODIMPORT

EUROPE (apparently)
PS3 -> SAVEDATA -> BLES00200-MODIMPORT

LOL and hear I was thinking to myself how lego star wars would be totally awesome for ut3.

This is a bit off-topic, but... what was that music? An obscure Beatles song maybe?

Eat your heart out 360 exclusive owners. My guess is they will all hate on this game and say it sucks but praise gears of war. With mods this game can have the same camera as gears and is MUCH BETTER. The mods and user content just adds to the replay value. People can say Live is better (in ways it is) but PSN is much more open to the gaming community and obviously cosy $50.00 less per year. This game is about to be released in Europe so sales for the PS3 version should be increased. Every PS3 owner should have this game because it is incredible.

now i want some one to tell me if it even possible for map making to be on the ps3, you might have heard me saying i want resistance 2 to have it own forge mode (which it should) because that will mean that halo 3 would be nothing to me, i only wanted halo 3 for it forge mode, but i got a ps3 so that why i want ut3 to have map making on the ps3 version instead of buying the pc version, so some one pass it on to the devlopers for resistance 2 and ut3 cause i dont know how to give them ideas, cant find there emails lol

Yeah you can't use a map maker on the PS3 just on the PC version. I am hoping Resistance 2 or MGS Online has this feature.

Love the mod. We need more destructible maps.

This has made me want to get this game even more (I was always meant to eventually get it) now that my mate said he wants to get a PS3 so we can play online for free. He's like me where we both refuse to pay for Live Gold on 360.
