Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 trailer shows off new weapons
18
One of our favorite things about Rainbow Six: Vegas was the multitude of weapons a player could choose from while outfitting their digital soldier. With varying levels of kickback, damage, ammo capacity, and accuracy, each weapon felt like a unique character, and diehard followings sprung up behind many of the game's realistic firearms.
The above trailer shows a few new "characters" we'll be introduced to in Rainbow Six: Vegas 2; like Mr. Shoots Through Walls, SMG Jr., and a sniper rifle that's bigger than the Juno I satellite launcher. We'll get to meet the whole gang (as will a number of unlucky terrorists) when the game lands in our anticipatory hands come mid-March.

you know what the sad thing is that those guns don't matter cause they don't operate that much more differently than past guns. oh sure the accuracy is different the damage per bullet is different. there is barely any change in mechanics. it is the same hide behind a wall come out and shoot. now if they showed gameplay changes or a more enthralling storyline then i would be excited for this game.
but they have the klobb. which is hope is just as useless as the golden eye version of it.

Some are different versions of the guns, like how there's an AK-47U SMG and a AK-47 AR in COD4. Those guns still look pretty awesome, nice to see a suppressed sniper rifle here where there wasn't one in COD4.
Just REALLY, REALLY hope Ubi doesn't mess this one up for PC like they did R6V1.

I am waiting for a game to have the AA-12 in it. What other gun do you need when you have a fully automatic shotgun?
Is there any game that has it in there? The only one I know that does is the Rising Conflicts mod for BF2 (or at least it did when I was a tester)

Watch the trailer again. The gun is an AK 74u not the AK 47. I know it is hard to read the subtle difference like a transposed number.

Hmm, this FPS will have a hard time replacing CoD4.

Ya, but the cover system is pretty sweet, and it looks like they copied even more from Gears. So that's good.

the only thing realistic about this game is the look of the weapons that it. It would be more appropriately called: Halo: Vegas 2

RB6V has been the best co-op game I've played. Halo3 and Gears of War were good fun while they lasted, but RB6V had more variation in the co-op experience than just the single player campaign.
If RB6V2 is at least as good as the last one, I will be very happy. If it is better than the last one I will be overjoyed. If they realised they have the best damn co-op game out there and decide to put the majority of thier focus on that, I will gleefully urinate in my own clothes for months on end.

Aw, who am I kidding? I'd piss my clothes, too.
Let's hope they make the enemies/character models a little more animated this time, though.
