It's taken them a while to admit it, but publisher Codemasters is finally ready to confirm the existence of Overlord on PS3, due for release this summer.
Titled Overlord: Raising Hell (ouch), the PS3 version will include all the downloadable content previously released for the Xbox 360 and PC versions on one shiny, blu-ray disc. Aside from this additional content, the game will remain unchanged from its predecessors, for better or for worse. Minions ahoy!

I really enjoyed this game. If you haven't yet played it, go out and get yourself a copy on your prefered platform. Part puzzle part action/rpg, lots of fun.

HOpefully there is a demo since I've read mixed feelings about it.

Really?!? Unless this is budget, I question the point.

Well, I guess that pretty much confirms my suspicions that the PS3 is so powerful, it can go back in time, and bring games from the past to the future.
Next up? Pong.

This is so similar to what happened last gen, where everything was ported 6 months to a year later to the original xbox (superior system) from the ps2 (more popular system). Good luck on that Sony.

I'm a bit surprised. I thought this released at the same time the 360 and PC versions came out.
I played the Demo and I thought it was good, but not good enough to warrant a purchase. Kinda felt like Pikmin but evil.

This game was Fable, except your not good or evil, your evil or more evil.
Seriously, it played like Fable, looked like Fable.

Could you rent it and beat it twice like Fable?

I would also like to know about the Fable part. I also don't have a life so my games need to be about 90+ hours so that I can sit playing it for four days straight and pretend like I'm doing something meaningful with my life. 14 hours is too little, it leaves me open to be invited to social events without having an excuse.

I played this on the PC and it actually played a lot more like Pikmin than anything remotely like Fable.
What little I played of Fable played nothing like this at all. In Fable, do you eventually gain control of underlings that you then lord over and command to do your bidding/gathering? If so, then wow, I guess I should finish Fable.
Me thinks your (oops, i mean you're) either not remembering correctly, or you simply wrote it off as a Fable clone without playing it at all.

The only thing Overlord had in common with Fable was that the graphics looked kinda similar here and there. I'll never be sure why people have such a desire to expose their stupidity in a fashion that is permanently recorded.

Haha, I wasn't attacking the game at all. As a matter of fact, I loved the game, all I said was that it reminded me of Fable.

Unless you are willing to say something negative about PlayStation 3, don't bother commenting here. Overlord was an awesome game, when it was an Xbox 360 exclusive.

You're the kind of person that makes us Xbox 360 lovers look bad. I have nothing against the PS3. In fact, I'll buy one. Like, next year. I have a personal sense of worth that makes me not want to buy a game whose only good exclusives are Resistance, Ratchet and Clank, and the not yet come MGS4 (which was like SSBB with the Wii "A kick ass game is coming, we swear to god. Buy the thing now, let it sit in your living room, and in 6 months you can play this shit on it")
In a year I'm hoping the price will drop a bit more, and more good exclusive games come out (Alot of the good games on it from what ive seen are multiplatform PC/360/PS3) not to mention PS2 backwards compatability on the more expensive one. I never got into the PS2 craze.

When I had a 360, I had this game. I think it was one of the last games I purchased for the 360 before gettin rid of it. Really fun game. Like a combo of Pikmin and Dungeon Keeper. I highly recommend it if you have some extra cash!

Great game! Got it on the 360 and can thoroughly recommend it. As to what it's like, the look is quite Fable-y, the humour is Dungeon Keeper-y and the gameplay is Pikmin-y (although with the Pikmin gleefully running around, grabbing swords and skulls and getting drunk at the first opportunity).

This is good news for the PS3....as this game is far better than a vast majority of the current library for the system. Its humorous and entertaining.
