We also wanted to type Triggerheart Exelica again to confirm our suspicion that it was one of the dumbest names for a videogame of all time. Debate it all you like in the comments, but trust us on this one. It's bad. It's like ... Awesome Possum Kicks Dr. Machino's Butt bad.
This Wednesday: Triggerheart Exelica comes to XBLA

Also yeah, seconding the "where's Ikaruga?" question.

I didn't buy a widescreen TV to be forced to squint looking at a tiny narrow strip of graphics running down the middle!
Besides, there seems just way too many enemy bullets on the screen for my taste. Wasted efforts making this game; people don't like to pay for software that humiliate them by filling the screen with deadly projectiles...

You're not a Shmup player, are you? For us strange dedicated hardcore shooter fans, this is more or less ideal.*
*Custom soundtracks make the music tolerable.
2. I suppose you've never heard the terms "bullet-hell" and "bullet-curtain"? Schmup fans tend to love such games, as do our Far Eastern friends. As far as I'm concerned, they play no better than that name sounds.
Speak for yourself, since Japanese people have been eating the stuff up since 1993 or so. Just look up some footage of Batsugun on Youtube.
1: You're not making sense. The graphics in the video clearly isn't rotated; score numbers are easily readable for starters. The game shows a tiny gaming area with huge sidebars which are nothing but a giant waste of space. Hopefully there IS an option somewhere to actually rotate the game, like with Ikaruga (which I didn't like, but at least it had the option for fullscreen gfx).
2: Yes, of course I've heard the terms, but last I checked this wasn't japan. I know of no large followings of such games in the west, and developing purely for japanese XBL market isn't going to make anyone rich... ;)
As in "last video," "check that post."
I expect this is evidence of the option to rotate the game, similar to Ikaruga. If you're curious as to why the numbers are sideways as well, it's because the idea is that the (idiotic) player can turn the TV on it's side (if he wants to break it).

Or, they own a monitor on a swivel-mount.

I would apologize to Griffin but I think they keep him in suspended animation until Friday afternoons.

Developers should pay more attention to audio when they're making games, because visuals may create primary appeal but sounds create a long-lasting experience.

Ikaruga is good, yet hard beyond belief.
I like this. I may may it.

Personally, I'd love to see Gigawing make an appearance on XBLA!

Trigger fingers twitching......
Please, someone bring more shooter to XBLA. Most are only worth $10 anyway.
How about Radiant Silvergun?

All in all, looks like a fun game that I'll play with a custom soundtrack.
