Dynamite was funny, but I just don't see it being that fantastic. Now, a good fantasy adventure (which it is, from what I've heard), I'm always up for. If only I had the money to go see it.

Neither.

The Spiderwick Chronicles is based off of a book series, which immediately removes it from my list of good movies.

Napoleon Dynamite was a bad movie, lacking anything of merit, that was blown out of proportion.

That being said, I have a bad feeling that comments on this contest will start flame wars galore.

I haven't read or seen "The Spiderwick Chronicles" yet. From what I know of the series, it's more my style. I'm a huge fan of "The Lord of the Rings," "The Chronicles of Narnia," "A Series of Unfortunate Events," "Harry Potter" and that genre of story. You could call those series my passions. You can also tell how my love for them translates into my gaming as my two favorite game series are "Seiken Densetsu" and "The Legend of Zelda." The game also has beautiful artwork and I actually was considering picking it up--I'd just like to read the books and perhaps see the movie first.

That being said, though I'm not a fan of many comedies, "Napoleon Dynamite" is my favorite by far! It was SO funny!

I fudgin love movies like The SpiderWick Chronicles, but as of lately, every movie coming out is like it... and I hate when people try to copy the idea of Napolean Dynamite and make a movie that is just stupid... So I would have to say Spiderwick Chronicles.

Well, hmm. I like fantasy and weird humor. However this is primarily a children's fantasy, and NP is just too "on the boring side".

Both are mediocre.

Then again, add the two together???

You got your slow paced eccentric comedy in my children's scifi. You got your children's scifi in my slow paced eccentric comedy.

Were they made for each other?

Mmmm. Random pickings. It doesn't matter what I say here. But I really don't know much about Spiderwick Chronicles, so i have to go with Napoleon Dynamite. It is one of those movies that gets better each time I see it. Plus, I like random humor. And the dance scene at the end is great.
