Of course, as Capcom already proved with its RE4 Wii-make, those old GameCube games are missing something; add a little wiggle, a little waggle, then reboot to retail and -- voila! -- it sells (we swear).
Resident Evil Zero port waggling onto Wii

Resident Evil is going backwards on Wii. The last of the series' antiquated entries, Resident Evil Zero, is headed back to GameCube, er, Wii, reports Famitsu. You may recall that Zero debuted on GameCube in late 2002, and digging deeper, you may even be able to uncover an actual copy already existing in your game library. Dust that thing off, pop it in your Wii, and -- voila! -- it plays (we swear).

If they're just going to recycle more of last gen effort of putting the main RE series on the Cube for the Wii, then that would be a big disappointment. Not that I wouldn't mind getting this if there was a great load of new content like the REmake had, but I'm getting tired of this pattern. It's like Final Fantasy all over again. The Nintendo family has been getting recycled (main) Final Fantasy games for years and we're still stuck at FFVI. Can we please move on with at least a FFVII remake for the Wii (or any of the PS1 games). And if we're just going to get more ports and remakes limited to what was last gen, then start porting/remaking everything. How about Demento or Devil May Cry series. DMC for one could sure use some clean up work with its textures and gameplay.

Oh and I demand some more Metal Gear Solid loving. Hey, if we're going to put up with this, some graphic/gameplay porting/tweaking for Twin Snakes, Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater on Wii would be great. How about ports of all those Tales games too that seem to be rather abundant on the PS2. I mean between two generations and we're still on Tales of Symphonia.

Hey, as long as Capcom's making ports of older games...
Killer 7, anyone?

Considering that they have a much bigger audience on the Wii than the gamecube it actually makes a fair bit of sense to give a chance to those games that didn't get one on the gamecube.
Admittedly ayou could just buy the gamecube version... but selling Wii versions (at budget prices) would be a good way to introduce them to the wider audience.
F-zero GX and Soul Calibur 2 could both be ported almost directly. Same goes for Thousand Year Door a number of other games.
And they should really re-release beyond good and evil too.
