Iron Lore studios, developers of Titan Quest and the upcoming Warhammer 40K Dawn of War expansion Soulstorm, officially announced it ceased operations on Feb. 19. Iron Lore's notice states that the closure was due to "several unrelated events" which caused the company to not secure funding for its next project.
The notice goes on to give a contact email for any developers looking to hire the team and states Iron Lore is actively looking to license its "powerful and flexible engine and tool set." Soulstorm is set to release next week.

Thats a shame, I enjoyed Titan Quest even though it was just a Diablo clone.

Are you sure that isn't WHY you like it so much?
I feel it's the best Diablo-like game out there, much better than HG:L and Mythos.

It wasn't a diablo clone in the same way that EVERY FPS isn't a Wolf32 clone, or doom clone.
It was a very well made Action RPG, great graphics (far superior to NWN2 and DS2) and a well balanced and fun class system.
At $20 for both the expansion and the main game via steam, it's a steal.
Sad to see you go Iron Lore. *salute*

That's too bad. I enjoyed TQ, and found it to be the closest representation of Diablo out of all the clones out on the market.
Good luck to them.

Ebay it. You can get both the original and expansion for under $15.

Ironically I reinstalled Titan Quest just yesterday to look at it's beauty a bit again. Now I read of this. A freaking shame. Wonder what the issue behind this was. I really wish the team good luck in whatever they try to do and hope they end up in good jobs again.
I feel guilty a bit now about not having bought the expansion yet.

Well this sucks, especially since they're a local Boston area developer over in the Maynard area I believe. Hopefully the developers there will be able to land on their feet somewhere in the area.

This stinks, TQ is one of my favorite games of all time. I was hoping for a TitanQuest 2 or other SomethingQuest game from them.
