Hey Joystiq, you guys can keep that crap.
Dave @ Feb 28th 2008 1:47PM
I think the best was XBLA Creators club.. cant wait to get started.. already checked out dishwasher which is sweet..
Harbir @ Feb 28th 2008 4:14PM
the most important story was...stuff
FoxHoundADAM @ Feb 28th 2008 12:03PM
I really think the XBLA Creators club was the biggest news. Everyone knew GoW2 was coming but I though the Creators Club had gone teh way of the Do-Do. I really like getting the chance to try these games out before their offical release.
Bad Mojo @ Feb 28th 2008 12:05PM
I have to agree that the Xbox Live user content stuff was probably most significant.
Opens up a whole new level of gaming. Maybe some day the PS3 can do that too :)
aaron_k7 @ Feb 28th 2008 12:06PM
RRoD on the GDC 360...
jds @ Feb 28th 2008 12:08PM
GOW2
trev @ Feb 28th 2008 12:06PM
i would have to say GOW2 was most exciting personally, but the XBLA creators club was pretty sweet. hopefully alot more people will now be able to create games.
Erwos @ Feb 28th 2008 12:07PM
Community-generated content available to everyone via XBL was huge. Cost of entry for creation ($100) is affordable for practically everyone, too. I would have liked to have seen support for Flash games (we all know the 360 can do Flash, dammit!), but maybe some other time.

The Food Coverage was great, made me hungry.

Todd @ Feb 28th 2008 12:08PM
Homeless woman attack takes the cake. : )
Pete @ Feb 28th 2008 12:09PM
Gears of War 2
samfish @ Feb 28th 2008 12:09PM
I don't particularly want any of that stuff, so in the unlikely event that I win, feel free to give it to a runner up, but I was most interested in the Ninja Gaiden 2 release date.
I guess there was a lot of Mario Kart info too, but it wasn't really associated with GDC, even though I was under the impression that they were showing it off there.
VanixL3 @ Feb 28th 2008 12:10PM
Nintendo WiiWare Info. Finally gonna be some cool little independant games that will downloadable on the most fun system this generation.
Chadwarden @ Feb 28th 2008 12:22PM
The food announcement was cool because food is ABAP baby. That is as ballin as possible.
Ryan @ Feb 28th 2008 12:10PM
Anything but GOW2.
White Rose Duelist @ Feb 28th 2008 12:10PM
Nintendo WiFi pay-for-play.
Bpops @ Feb 28th 2008 12:11PM
definitely gears of war 2
MikeM @ Feb 28th 2008 12:11PM
Xbox Live Community Games because it opens up the 360 for independent developers, and that helps us the gamers experience new and creative ideas.
FlipMcSquible @ Feb 28th 2008 12:12PM
I was excited about the new Fable 2 stuff. I want that game bad.
Burritoclock @ Feb 28th 2008 12:12PM

JW @ Feb 28th 2008 12:15PM
The most important bit of news as it pertains to gaming is probably the Xbox Live Community Games since it opens up a new area of content creation/sharing to the masses. However, the most interesting has to be Gears of War 2 being announced. I find it amazing that they already have a polished sequel slated for a 2008 release. Cheers!
Disclaim3r @ Feb 28th 2008 12:14PM
Gears 2. I mean, it was pretty obvious that it was coming, but at least I now have a trailer to watch/bare my teeth with.
Jerk Face @ Feb 28th 2008 12:15PM
Murdering your friends' entire family via co-op in Fable 2!
Brian @ Feb 28th 2008 12:16PM
XBLA Community Games
RatBoy @ Feb 28th 2008 12:16PM
"I'm going to kill you... Wake up"
Magetto @ Feb 28th 2008 12:16PM
Probably the Xbox Live user-created games was the single biggest update. Ninja Gaiden II's release date being in early June was an awesome surprise as well. Kind of bummed out that Nintendo and Sony didn't show much that caught my eye.
miyagi @ Feb 28th 2008 12:16PM
Coolest thing was definitely XNA games.
Fable/GOW2 was 2nd but mostly expected. Surprises are always fun :P
Dracard @ Feb 28th 2008 12:16PM
GDCA and IGF awards.
Tim @ Feb 28th 2008 12:16PM
Honestly? I thought the most important story was your adventure game questions posed to the giants of adventure gaming. It gave an interesting and insightful look into their minds and showed (I thought, at least) that they are trying to think outside of the box that they helped to create, which is a very good sign.
TWD Industries @ Feb 28th 2008 12:16PM
As above, I was very jazzed by the community games because it gives me yet another outlet for my homebrew addiction.
Moofree @ Feb 28th 2008 12:17PM
Bangai-O sound load!
That or xbla indie games.
Myles @ Feb 28th 2008 12:18PM
For me it has to be the community games. I love trying new games with interesting new ideas.
HazyCloud @ Feb 28th 2008 12:18PM
You Tube of video games.
Orion_of_Chaos @ Feb 28th 2008 12:18PM
Easy. Still Alive coming as Rock Band DLC.
Classic_Gs @ Feb 28th 2008 12:22PM
The Portal song 'Still Alive' will be a downloadable track for Rock Band!
Shmil @ Feb 28th 2008 12:19PM
Xbox User Created Content by far was the most impressive thing at the GDC.
Frostfell @ Feb 28th 2008 2:35PM
Gears 2.
AbstraxioN @ Feb 28th 2008 12:23PM
The XNA Community Content will be a great addition to the Marketplace. I just hope Microsoft does not restrict what content can be put on their in any fashion aside from the limitations of the pre-existing XBLA restrictions.
Oh and... Gears of War 2? Sounds interesting, but from a teaser of some rendered "dueling" all in red/black; can't be for sure. The Unreal engine is picking up and making great strides so if anything there will be some amazing water effect and day/night transitions.

KayRazy Ken Kutaragi @ Feb 28th 2008 12:20PM
David Jaffe not showing up as planned. Or PSeye headtracking and facial recognition along with knowing what direction the users eyes are looking in.
coolbho3000 @ Feb 28th 2008 12:21PM
Definitely the Nintendo's new WFC pay service.
Seriously WTF Nintendo? If you're going to charge for online, first make it good.
