I really think the XBLA Creators club was the biggest news. Everyone knew GoW2 was coming but I though the Creators Club had gone teh way of the Do-Do. I really like getting the chance to try these games out before their offical release.

I have to agree that the Xbox Live user content stuff was probably most significant.

Opens up a whole new level of gaming. Maybe some day the PS3 can do that too :)

i would have to say GOW2 was most exciting personally, but the XBLA creators club was pretty sweet. hopefully alot more people will now be able to create games.

Community-generated content available to everyone via XBL was huge. Cost of entry for creation ($100) is affordable for practically everyone, too. I would have liked to have seen support for Flash games (we all know the 360 can do Flash, dammit!), but maybe some other time.

I don't particularly want any of that stuff, so in the unlikely event that I win, feel free to give it to a runner up, but I was most interested in the Ninja Gaiden 2 release date.

I guess there was a lot of Mario Kart info too, but it wasn't really associated with GDC, even though I was under the impression that they were showing it off there.

Xbox Live Community Games because it opens up the 360 for independent developers, and that helps us the gamers experience new and creative ideas.

The most important bit of news as it pertains to gaming is probably the Xbox Live Community Games since it opens up a new area of content creation/sharing to the masses. However, the most interesting has to be Gears of War 2 being announced. I find it amazing that they already have a polished sequel slated for a 2008 release. Cheers!

Probably the Xbox Live user-created games was the single biggest update. Ninja Gaiden II's release date being in early June was an awesome surprise as well. Kind of bummed out that Nintendo and Sony didn't show much that caught my eye.

Honestly? I thought the most important story was your adventure game questions posed to the giants of adventure gaming. It gave an interesting and insightful look into their minds and showed (I thought, at least) that they are trying to think outside of the box that they helped to create, which is a very good sign.

The XNA Community Content will be a great addition to the Marketplace. I just hope Microsoft does not restrict what content can be put on their in any fashion aside from the limitations of the pre-existing XBLA restrictions.

Oh and... Gears of War 2? Sounds interesting, but from a teaser of some rendered "dueling" all in red/black; can't be for sure. The Unreal engine is picking up and making great strides so if anything there will be some amazing water effect and day/night transitions.
