A new track pack for Guitar Hero III has been released, and this time it's all about No Doubt. Yes, the same No Doubt featuring Gwen Stefani, the woman who stole Gavin Rossdale and crushed the dreams of thousands of women everywhere. The track pack includes the following songs for the price of 500 MS Points:
Fans will be happy to know that all three songs are master tracks, so no one will have to suffer through someone attempting to sing like Gwen Stefani (really dodged a bullet there, seriously). So, when do we get a Bush track pack, hmmm?
I second that. Whenever I see "new track pack" and a band name, I automatically assume it's going to be for Rock Band, since GH never seems to release anything. What a shame. This would have been the first whole pack I would have purchased too. So far it's only been individual songs.
I only wish they were on Rock Band. I will not buy them on GH cause I never play it. It would be a waste of points. Hopefully no doubt tracks will come to RB.
The guitarist(s) for No Doubt were pretty good, though they were a ska-pop/punk outfit, and those riddims are usually far easier to play then standard rock and roll fare, or the anthem/pop rock GH makes so palatable.
But yeah, the band was not a guitar powerhouse, so Rock Band would have made far more sense, given Gwen's pipes and the mic on Rock Band. Plus, if you can drum naked in your house along with Adrian, Tony, Gwen, and Tom
(Tom Dumont, Gwen Stefani, Adrian Young, Tony Kanal; Stephen Bradley and Gabe Mc Nair)
It would've been brilliant on Rock Band. My wife is going to be upset.
If Activision was smart they'd join the open platform stance and release a patch (DLC) that would allow their games to take advantage of the ROCK BAND drums, guitar, and mic. How awesome would it be to actually play GH again with all instruments!
This is disappointing. I can think of a billion better songs that are better suited for guitar hero. These are way better for rock band for the singing.
Sorry Guitar Hero, you lost me when you couldn't keep up with the DLC. I bought you first and shunned Rock Band, but you let me down. I got tired of waiting for new stuff, and I saw that Rock Band was delivering. I didn't sell you on ebay because I like some of your on disc music. I've spent over $40 on Rock Band DLC that you could have had.
No Doubt? Seriously? Is it 1998? GH3 track packs are few and far between. It's a bit disconcerting when they release this kind of stuff. I love the classics, and I love the new stuff. No Doubt is somewhere awkwardly in between all of that...
Hahahaha, this is what Guitar Hero owners get after weeks and weeks of nothing? No Doubt is awful, and shame on you if you like them. Pseudo "rock" crap that has about 20 seconds of thought put into it, fronted by some marketing whore who has the physique of a 12 year old boy and is more interested in hocking her crappy handbags and clothing than making appealing or worthwhile music.
I don't own Rock Band, but I would pay triple price to play some Guitar Hero Modest Mouse! Come on Activision! Give me Guitar Hero: Modest Mouse edition, I've always wanted to play their songs on GH
