No Doubt now available on Guitar Hero III

It seems that Aerosmith isn't the only band staking their rhythm game claim with Guitar Hero III: Gwen Stefani's semi-ska/pop outfit No Doubt is set to hit the game ... well, today. It should be available on Xbox Live now as a matter of fact, and on PSN later today.

500 points will net you three songs from the band's Tragic Kingdom album, "Don't Speak", "Excuse Me Mr" and "Sunday Morning." Admittedly we're not hardcore fans, but these seem like weird choices. No "Just A Girl"? No "Spiderwebs"? Oh well, at least they're master tracks. Song choice aside, is this something you'll be picking up?

I still play GH3 on occasion... and faithfully download all free stuff. Since this isn't free I won't be buying, gotta save those points for Rockband songs.

So let me get this straight... I must buy all three songs - I can't just buy the one I want, and even when I buy them, I can only play the guitar part? I can't play the drums or sing the vocal track?

I am so glad that I have RB instead of GHIII.

This is like being pissed off about new maps being made available for COD4 but not Halo 3, even though Halo 3 has much more customization with Forge.

In other words, it's kinda ridiculous. Go play Rock Band and enjoy it - like I do - but at least let the GH3 players enjoy some songs that are actually worth listening to for once.

I couldn't care less about what songs they release for GHIII - was just being a dick and trashing the direction that Activision took GH.

Fair enough - they deserve to be bashed for their idiotic DLC pricing scheme and the regressive game design choices in GH3.

They'd be awesome in RB! Gwen Stefani's got such a unique voice and singing style, and it'd be a really good addition to the Rock Band library.

Oh wow. I'm actually sorta surprised they didn't go with the more mainstream hits from Tragic Kingdom. But still, these songs are pretty good.

Also the Rock band players(aka elitist) would you kindly just STFU and let people who actually enjoy GH3 enjoy this news. Jesus christ you're like a fucking broken record player. We get it GH3 is for tools blah blah blah blah blah.

Seriously though, I'm not just talking to be a prick. I owned GH3 until about a month ago. Kept the good guitar, sold the horrible game once it became clear that Activision can't hold a candle to EA/Harmonix's offerings.

I still own GH3, and enjoy it, as Rock Band isn't available outside US/CN. So they're playing to a bigger audience with this. An audience with nothing to compare it to.

HA! Guitar Hero gets nothing for weeks, then they shovel THIS crap out? No Doubt is absolute shit, and if you disagree your taste in music is shit. Their music is top 40-pop rock trash that isn't even as catchy as a rookie-year Britney Spears song and has about equal thought put into it, and Gwen Stefani is a fugly chick that is as flat as a board.

Thank god for Rock Band. Hey Activision, take note.

I got excited, I thought these would be great to play.. Then I realized it was GH3 and, um, no. I also don't want all 3, sorry Activision. Until you stop being greedy I'm buying single songs in RB.

I've been a No Doubt fan since their self-titled album (Return to Saturn was the start of their decline) and these are awesome song choices for Guitar Hero. As great as Spiderwebs and Just A Girl are, the guitar parts for those songs are pretty boring. Spiderwebs would be awesome on Rock Band, but for Guitar Hero I think they made good choices.

I'll be buying these as soon as I get home tonight.

How much more of a meta commentary do yuo need? A played out band for a played out series.

Is there even a guitar player in no doubt? I mean really, who wants this shit? Why dont they make some DLC from 80's bands with Keytars?

I like No Doubt (especially this album and Sunday Morning is my favorite track by them), but none of these songs are very guitar heavy. I just got finished watching the trailer on Xbox Live and for one of the songs I couldn't pick out the notes that you are supposed to be playing (although the audio for the trailer is rubbish and even sounds like it is mono). If they were to release a Trumpet Hero game then No Doubt would be a sure thing, but I don't think they work so well for Guitar Hero, especially not their songs from this album.
