Call of Duty 4 feature patch is now live

You may remember last week when we told you about the chock-full feature patch that would be hitting Call of Duty 4 sometime in the near future. Well, friends: The future is now. ... At least, it is for Xbox 360 owners. We're assuming PlayStation 3 players will be getting it soon if they haven't already, we just haven't had a chance to test yet.

In case you missed the post (for shame!) expect host migration (even when a host drops teams stay together), better accuracy for snipers and ACOG scope users, an expanded Kill Cam that includes claymores, airstrikes and grenades, nine new spawn points on each map, quick mute and some other tweaks. ... Well, what are you waiting for? Go play already!

Improved ACOG for all you snipers...looks like I will be doing some ghillie suite hunting with Dead Silence for the next couple of weeks.

Claymores radar jammer... are needed for sniping... You only need dead silence if you are a moving sniper like I tend to be... Just saying...

He means HE's hunting snipers using Dead Silence - at least, that's how I read it.

I wish you could get the sniper rifle you use that's silenced like in the flashback part of the single player game. Can you imagine?

That would be a wet dream come true... Silenced Sniper... Radar Jammer and Dead Silence... with a silenced pistol... I'd give up the deagle for a set up like that...

Finally.

honestly other then the host issue i dont really feel there was much to fix in the game.

Like there was any doubt which machine adult gamers play the most on....cmon.....you know its not even close.

No, there are no kids on XBL whatsoever. None. Zero. Especially not on Halo. 8/10 people in a game aren't kids.

Patch seems to have done something to clan tags.

Out clan is "ello" and now mine will only allow "llo"....

tried fixing it but it doesn't update it.

this sounds sweet and all but when is the ps3 version going to get the patch?

COD 4 is amongst the best games that I have ever played and that spans over 30 yrs, make 10ps in Arcades, many consoles and many games. Anything to improve upon it can only be good - especially when I remember playing those early arcade and ZX Spectrum games - we are lucky to be able to be playing such great games - whatever your preferred platform.

PC gaming is the only way to go. Xbox and PS3 can suck my nuts.

I have yet to recieve this patch... I have called Infinityward and I have called Actovision and I have called Playstation and No one can tell me when this Patch will be availible for PS3... Could someone please tell me?
