We don't know what Nippon no Asoko de is about. It looks to be a traveling game of sorts. Perhaps it's one of those non-games that are all the rage these days? With its cute graphics and charming art style, we're intrigued. However, without fully understanding what the gameplay is, we find ourselves scratching our heads. We don't know much about this mysterious new title, but one thing is clear: we doubt this will ever get an American release.

I want a localization, mainly for that music; Reminds me of Fantastic Plastic Machine if anyone's familiar with them. The actual game looks like a glorified map of Tokyo, but that in itself it pretty cool.

Living in Tokyo hasn't motivated me to study Japanese, this has.

The title means "Over in that part (asoko de) of (no) Japan (nippon)" (roughly speaking). From what I can tell of the trailer, it really does look like a interactive travel show-game thing - as the little UFO is flying around, the little subtitle updates with the name of the suburb/area currently being flown over :)
