Whether the PSP Phone is in development or not, Nokia doesn't care. They're not afraid. When asked what he thought of the idea of the PSP Phone Jaakko Kaidesoja, head of Nokia Games, responded that he's "not scared about anybody." He goes on to say that "the real question is how do they [Sony Ericsson] do it? Can they create a link between the PSP games and a phone? Can they do the multiplayer and online stuff? We've been doing this for two years and it hasn't been easy."
Good questions! The N-Gage mobile gaming platform actually looks like it's shaping up and Sony hasn't even officially announced a PSP Phone. We'll be intrigued to see if anything comes of all these rumors but, in the end, we'll probably just stick to our PSPs. Nokia have nothing to be afraid about, and why should they with technology like Morph in the works?

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
"Can they do the multiplayer and online stuff?"
Uh... yeah. They can. They are. WTF?
"We've been doing this for two years and it hasn't been easy."
The PSP has been out for 4 years.
"Can they create a link between the PSP games and a phone?"
Uhh... there's not really much to do. Slap a cellphone inside the PSP. Done.
And to be fair, a PSP phone is a terrible idea. Phones need to be small, and the PSP needs to be fairly large for it's screen.
Whatever, Nokia. You guys can be king of the free phones telecoms give away, leave the real electronics to the big boys.

I'm sure Nintendo would have told Sony that they were in business since the '80's and implementing a disk drive "wasn't easy", but Sony still did it...
Oh wait, Nintendo were the ones that betrayed Sony over the disk-drive add-on. Oh well...
But just because you have been in the industry longer doesn't' mean that you have better and more advanced technology than a competitor. I'm sure Sony said that online wasn't easy but Microsoft got it working on their first try. Lol.

I love my Nokia phone and my psp
they each do what they are supposed to do very well and they can't compete with each other for exactly the point you brought up.
all the communication I want for my psp is a friends icon like the PS3 where i can send messages to other psp people

That Morph tech is eerily similar to a flexible screen Sony patented, I smell lawsuits. Let the pantent wars begin(again)!
But seriously does anyone buy cellphone games? I only use the ones that came with the phone.

Nokia people are stupid they don't know how to make game consoles so this guy doesn't know what he's talking about. While Sony knows how to make a phone & a gaming console so it just goes to say that they can integrate the 2 devices. Just look at Apple they didn't make phones before but the I-phone seems better than any Nokia phones out there.

Lol ... is this the same Nokia that made one of the worlds most horrible handhelds , the N-gage . They managed to sell in 5 years 3 million decks , while Sony managed to sell in 3 years over 30 million ... Grow up Nokia , and just STFU !!!
