YESSS!! i was wondering when this was going to get released...anyone who says dead songs are "boring" and would be "No fun to play" are on some drug that wouldn't enhance the experience. It's nice to see that they didn't just do "Casey Jones" "Touch Of Grey" and end it there. The Dead have an incredible catalog of amazing solos, now we just need to be able to hook up a 2nd drum set and get the REAL Rhythm Devils experience

To all those people who talk shit about the Grateful Dead, listen to Phish if you want to hear what an awful awful neo-hippy band sounds like.

The only thing that'll ever erase the memories of the show I got dragged to is sucking on the business end of a 12 gauge...

Nice- I was at that sho toow, and at the Buffalo one a couple of weeks prior. In your defense, not the best two shows I've ever seen and, from the tapes, not really their best tour. Still, that Hampton show had a nice "tube" (back when it was a real rarity) and a great Harry Hood.

But dude, you apparently don't like them at all- and that's cool. 12 gauge though? Hah. ;)

It just seems rather antithetical to have a a Dead song in a format where it rewards you for playing it exactly the same every time.

I mean, have you ever heard a Dead song performed the same way twice?

Now, if it had a bunch of 3 minute unscored "Jam Solo" stretches, we might be talking...

I think Phish is musically way more tight and fun than the Dead, but I'm psyched for these DLC tracks 100%.

I was at the Hampton show that made you contemplate suicide and had a total blast. If you don't like jam music, fine, we don't need you. Your either on the bus or off the bus...

No, I've got nothing against bands who jam. I love the Dead. Hell, Built to Spill and Neutral Milk Hotel are two of my favorite all-time bands and neither of them have a problem with losing themselves in the music. I personally think Phish is just terrible.

I just want me some damn Electronic Light Orchestra.

Maybe I'm weird, but Last Train To London, Showdown, Livin' Thing, or Don't Bring Me Down would a blast for everyone but the guitarist.

Neutral Milk Hotel is nice.. I lived in Athens, GA a while back when Jeff Mangum was MIA and everyone kept mistaking me for him. It was kind of a running joke for about a year.

I just really hope, even though I doubt that it will be the case, that they use the China Cat from Europe '72, rather than the Aoxomoxoa version, it's so much better and would be way more fun. I don't like all the extra crap they put on that first album version.

Fine, you don't like the music. But I don't understand why as soon as this story is published everyone needs to trash them, and anyone who associates with that type of music.

My dad is a huge Grateful Dead fan, and I grew up listening to them ALL the time. Like more than every other band combined. And I've really grown to love their sound. For a lot of people who grow up with this music, this is easily the most anticipated pack yet, not to mention that I think it's the first six-pack that's come out.

So don't rain on our parade.

I am a fan of the Grateful Dead's albums.... not so much of their live shows... which are a little too wandering and unpolished for my tastes. I guess that comes from being a youngster and not a big fan of halucinogens ^^. I will definatly download Casey Jones, Sugar Magnolia, and Truckin'. Really though, anything from Workingman's Dead or American Beauty would be great. Dire Wolf or St. Stephen....hmmm or Mexicali Blues. Here is to hoping for more^^
