This Week in DLC: Sucking up Triggerheart Exelica

After just starting the weekly feature two weeks ago, "This Week in DLC" took a one-week vacation. (Looks like we're batting .500, as it were.) Don't blame us, blame GDC: even the fanboy blogs had a hard time keeping up, with X3F writing us an apology note for missing N+ and Nintendo Wii Fanboy's David Hinkle buying us a puppy. The PSN updates, (un)fortunately, were a bit dry these past two weeks. Here are some snippets from this week's reviews, click on the fancy link for more in-depth impressions:

Xbox Live Arcade

Triggerheart Exelica (800 MS points): "Shooter fans looking to perfect their game and top the leaderboards should definitely take notice."

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (Nintendo 64; 1,000 Wii points): "It's Kirby. It's a first-party game. It's a N64 title. There's plenty of reasons why you should download it and close to none as for why you shouldn't."
Psychosis (TurboGrafx16; 600 Wii points): "It isn't a horrible game, but technical flaws keep it from being something that I can, in good judgment, recommend."

I download Kirby last Monday... nice game... never had the chance to play the original.

It's an all right game, but it was a lot easier than I remember it being (and that's saying a lot since I remembered it being pretty gosh darned easy). A lot more slow paced than the other Kirby games, too. Still, it was more than worth the points for me. Now how about some Kirby Superstar Nintendo?

I gotta say, Kirby 64 held up pretty nice in the visuals dept. on my 32" LCD.

Trigger Hreat is not one of the best shumps out there, but for 10$ is worth supporting this type of genre. Now, bring Under Defeat to XBLA or PSN.

Raptor was awesome,I would pay 800p for it.

They should also bring back Fury 3,Hellbender,Terminal Velocity and Sky Roads.

Sky Roads was made of Win and goodness.

I downloaded N+.

I hope they fix the multiplayer mode in N+,it doesn't save your progress and is really hard to find a party to beat the co-op mode in one sitting.

I downloaded Triggerheart Exelica and Um well is like every other shooter except that is almost NSFW but is pretty decent, I wouldn't buy it but if you are a fan of side scrollers or a very lonely man is not bad.

Now if I could just beat the last 2 Portal challenges I would get the Aperture Science achievement but is too damn hard with the xbox 360 controller.
