For a downloadable Wii game the graphics look pretty impressive.

Have they announced how many blocks of storage it will take up?

No they don't, haven't you heard that the Wii can't do good graphics? THE FANBOYS DON'T LIE >:(.

$15?? Geez.

So what are we to do when all 512 MB is full on our Wiis? I think not including Mem Card support was just dumb (being able to save your VC/WiiWare titles to the card).

Considering games like Diner Dash are $20 on the DS, I'd say this is a decent pricepoint for a meatier game.

I could have sworn it was already anounced at $15 and as a wiiware launch title when wiiware was first announced.

Of course, you have to PAY $20 to buy it.

And then you can turn around and buy one of the several other WiiWare titles already priced at 500 points.

Like the eating contest one?

Actually, I already have 100 points sitting there. I'll probably just use the extra to buy a genesis game.

Are you talking about buying the Wii Points Card? You can buy points online (the Wii Shop Channel) in $5, $10, $20, or $50, if I'm not mistaken.

How are the under 7year olds meant to afford $15 for this childrens game? Square are out of order, as it will be the parents who have to pay when we are nagged to death

There's a marked difference between 'kiddy' and 'casual'. Tis a shame so many 'hardcore' gamers are too dumb to see it.

I really doubt a kid is going to enjoy or be any good at a city building sim, even with its cutesy look. This is obviously targeting women and incredibly casual men, which is a good portion of the Wii's audience.

Har har. You sir are must mature. I mean, the definition of adult is to scream "fuck" and "kyke" at strangers while playing Halo 3 on XBL. At least, it is for 13 year olds who care about what games people see them play.

Here's a test, go ask some girls how playing cool playing your Xbox 360 or PS3 makes you.

(Note, I am not bashing either of those systems, in fact, feel free to send me one!)

That's what I've been saying all along. These lames that bash the Wii while cursing racist obscenities over Live at their 15 year old peers crack me up man. I have yet to encounter 1, count them ONE, game of Live that didn't include more than a couple Tards shouting absolute crap over the mic during the game. Now, Counterstrike PC, thats online co-op voice over at its finest.

Is a Wii Ware game going to come out once a week (kinda like VC games?). Or are we only gonna get like 3 a month or something, cause none of the launch Wii Ware games interest me, the FF game seems ok, but $15 is too steep of a price for a downloadable game. Eternal Child looks kinda good, but how much is it gonna cost and when will that come out?

Eterity's Child is going to be a launc title... and it's going to cost 500 Wii Points. Pretty cheap.

You can also try World of Goo, looks very good too.

Plattchen looks very impressive for a WiiWare title too:

And Defend your Castle has a very interesting design... for $5 dlls.

http://www.xgenstudios.com/defend-your-castle/

LostWind is a $10 dlls game... very interesting, using a lot the IR Pointer to control the wind (drawing lines, like Kirbys Canvas Course for the DS)

It is odd, considering the easily convertible 1 point per cent method

Far easier to understand than the MS points system, but why don't they just put a decimal point in there? That's all that stands between points and reality

Its tokenization...this is the exact reason why we use chips as casinos and not dollar bills. They simply feel less like money even though they are easily convertible.

Half a game? Heh. I remember way back when it used to be a requirement to actually know something about the game in question before berating it.

For a casual game, it sounds really deep. Of course, its not my thing, but I'm not gonna call it 'half a game' just cuz I'm not interested. 'cuz I'm not a tool, see.

Oh, and, how is 'milking' a franchise considered abuse when the vast majority of Nintendo's franchise's canon games are some of the best around? I don't mind another Mario game as long as it's quality - and in the main Mario series, I have yet to be disappointed. Even Sunshine, which was certainly different, wasn't a bad game by any means - not what people were expecting from a Mario title, sure, but still fun.

+1 for not hating on Sunshine. I swear, the only complaint ever thrown at that game is that it's different. I guess that was enough for some fantards to bitch at it.

I've asked it before and I'll ask it again: why does a downloadable WiiWare game have better graphics than 90% of retail Wii games?

90% is a bit of a stretch, but the reason that a lot of wii games look like pork butt is because of lazy developers porting PS2 games. Also because of half assed minigame compilations marketed towards the ignorant who don't know the differnce. It's a shame but it's just so much cheaper to do it that way.

Anyway, I really hope Defend Your Castle and that shitty eating game aren't ACTUAL launch titles. It'd be a shame if I couldn't buy at least one game on the day it launches...especially as it's a day after my birthday.

Just slightly more expensive than Sin & Punishment so easily accetable. Especially since it was Square Enix's plan since they announced it way back when.
