Yeahp I think a whole wack load of people are waiting on the reviews for this game. I really want this to be a good game, but I ... just don't know =/.

And that boxart isn't really the greatest thing either lol. Although I'm guessing "TWO" stands out nice and clearly in retail.

yea my friend was really hyped about Army of Two. he buys just about every game though so im sure he'll buy it without waiting for reviews as usual, play it, and if he doesnt like it, trade it back for a significant lose of money. (he's quite bad with handling money if you couldnt guess that)

Really? I actually really like the cover art. There was an earlier version that I saw way back that was better IMO but this one isnt too bad. At least not as bad as DMC4 right...

Looks like someone barfed up metallic colors and then slapped Frutiger Ultra on there as an afterthought.

...and then dimensionalized it. Because, like filters, Layer Styling makes everything looks better.

Actually DMC4 cover isn't that bad and is better than this one IMO.

Well you are anticipating this games release so it stands to reason that you like the box art. Just like I liked the DMC 4 box art because I had been waiting for the game for so long. However, as you have said many times about Ninja Gaiden 2 being better than DMC4 I can see why you think the box art is bad.

I think the box art is average at best and Sam Fish described it well. However, the worst looking box art I have seen so far for an unreleased game is mario kart Wii. And that along with brawl are the only two Wii games I will buy this year. I suppose that could change but I think the Wii has a lackluster lineup for my taste in 2008.

As far as box art goes I could really care less because I have never bought a game solely on box art.

I just thought I would make the point that it stands to reason you like the box art because you have been waiting for the game. I was excited for it but after I read the hands on and got more in depth with the characters (2 rednecks) I figured it was not for me.

It was either this game or brawl for me and my wii collection is so lacking and I think Brawl will give me much more replay than Army of two. But if it is good and I hear positive things from people who's opinion I trust i will probably pick it up.

No, I like it because I like it. I dont care if one "ever so neat" idiot on here sais they dont, and all the sheep flock over to that side.

I like the masks and the logo style I especially like the artstyle used for the intro of the game. How they incorporated the US currency art style into their fonts is cool IMO.

Having said that I see that Im not like most peeps on here because on other sites like IGN or Gametrailers they like the boxart.

I hear what your saying man. I do not think people are flocking to him because we are incapable of having an opinion. In my opionion the box art is cliche and lacks any originality and at the same time gives you no real feeling about the actual game. However, art, like any form of creative expression is a personal taste.

All I was trying to say by my comment was that you probably liked the box art because you like the game so much. For example, if MGS4 had Snake rowing a boat it would not matter to me because I am anticipating the game and not the box art.

As I said I do not think it has anything to do with nerdy, quirky or cool but rather its just a matter of opinion.

What your saying is not what I thought (the box art is fine in anticipation of the game) but rather you actually like it. Which is also fine. But to say others are sheep without an opinion because we don't like something you do is a bit childish.

I know exactly what you mean about liking a game so much that you would like the cover even if it sucked. What gets me is that (other than you) people dont give a concrete reason why they ACTUALLY dont like it.

To tell you the truth I wouldve liked a bit more color but anyway it doesnt affect the actual game in anyway. I really didnt mean this very exact time, and I dont mean to offend anybody here as far as being "nerdy".

It's just that it happens so often here on Joystiq. Take Halo3, Gears or COD4... you have so many haters on it, why? Do ALL games have to be quirky and goofy ala Patapon or Prof. Layton?

I don't understand why people don't wait for the PS2 port of the PSP God of war.

because the port is months away. a look at the reviews can tell you that its a great game and some people might not be able to hold out for it. i did hear it was rather short though. but now is a great time to buy a PSP anyway with GoW:COO, Patapon, and Crisis Core (i think) coming out.

and people that already have PSP's, like myself, are in pretty good standing right now.

I don't know,why buying handhelds when you can play your Ps2 in the go?..Oh right.

Also ports usually suck and by the time they are released no one gives a f*ck.

Seriously in a year when this game is ported GW:3 will be released and no one will give a crap about the Port.

The same reason i buy any games on my PSP. So I can play them on the go when I am bored. The game is incredible on the PSP. I played the demo and it blew me away. This game may get so much PT from me I finally sell my fatty PSP and get a Slim. Between GOW PSP, Patapon (which is AWESOME btw) and the soon to be released Echochrome my PSP will get lots of love in 2008.

I now own as many PSP games as Wii games!

My point is its pretty sad when a hanheld has a better selection of good games than a console. This is obviously my opinion and I have not re-bought Capcom ports I already have on PS2. The only wii game I want that I do not own is Umbrella Chronicles.

I really don't know what to think of this game to be honest. I haven't heard anyone talk about it with any sort of passion. As far as I know its a game sponsored by the US Army...and I'm not exactly their biggest fan.

As much as it pains me to say it I really think it should have been God of War edition this week...

As a 360 gamer that and Final Fantasy are epic titles wroth being jealous over....

So apparently you DONT know anything about this game, so why comment? It has nothing to do with the US Army. Its a game based on 2 player co-op built from the ground up and I for one love co-op games. Just want to see if this sucker doesnt pull a Kane and Lynch like someone said earlier. Hopefully 8's or higher.

The game has nothing to do with the army. Maybe you're thinking of America's Army.

The earlier build of this game was attacked for being really bad, so I don't know if I would pop for it until the press gives it another pass. They didn't take that much time to revamp it after it was bashed, so I'll be shocked if they pulled off a game worthy of the hype they built for this title.

I agree with your point there. I am having the same problem with the often delayed Haze. The early hands on review looked and sounded so bad 9for both) i do not see what could have been done in such a limited amount of time to make it good.

I agree with you to that the premise of this game sounds awesome. I love the mercenary theme with the attention put on co-op gamaplay. Hopefully they fixed it because it looked awful from what I read. I also do not like the racist redneck aspect of the game.

Yeah, but I'm guessing that the combined userbase of the 360 and PS3 is significantly higher than the PSP's, making Ao2 the more obvious mainstream choice.

As far as the game itself goes, I hope it scores at least 8s so that I can feel semi-confident in picking it up. I need a new 2P co-op game now that I'm pretty much completely done with Gears and Halo.

I happen to disagree and here is why. I am not an achievment whore and I do not just play games for the sake of getting a higher gamer score. Also, I play games across all platforms (including handhelds, cellphones, mac & PC). As far as I know only the 360 has a running total of points based off achievements. If I get an achievment in a game its because it occured naturally during the course of playing said game and not because I spent an hour trying to get some ridiculous achievement. Also, I do not rent a game simply to get the points (like a sports game for example) and then put it down once I get those points. The points are not crucial to my fullfilment as a gamer. In fact, I will sometimes go weeks if not months in some cases without so much as touching a game due to family, work and personal obligations. Yet I still choose to come to sites like this one to get news and stay current on all of the rumors and announcements. Just because someone does not obsesse over his gamerscore does not make him/her any less of a gamer.

My 360 gamerscore is somewhere around 13,000 with no emphasis on points. I have played games since my moms Atari and my NES. I have had almost every console including the Turbo Graffix 16 (still works btw unlike my 360 which is on its way back from Max's repair adventure). So to say someone is not a true gamer because they dont chooose the consoles and live by the same gamerscore code you do is nonsense.

Certain peeps in here (which shall remain anonymous ;) of course) spend all day on this mother talking smack and never even get on their console. BBCTuna's score doesnt mean hes good at them or hes the best at them or anything liek that. I just called him that (Mr.30K) because, well damn 30K is alot isnt it?

Anyway I dont even know what my exact score is I just know its around 12K so no Im not an achievement whore either but I do enjoy getting them. My point is that he is a gamer(like you and I) that really plays games and comes here to talk games and not just fill the place with spam.

While I am on the review list for the game, I was invited to a media multi-player demo last week. Sadly I wasn't able to make the time so I wasn't able to get my hands on it. However, from what I was told in that discussion, all reviews of AO2 are in an embargo until "march 7th" as I was told.
