yes, you'll be 'paying a lot more' but you'll also get the convenience of watching it whenever you want, (even if it's months from now) instead of a timed window before it's locked and unplayable. rentals suck. if the ps3 goes that route with their rumored upcoming video store then i won't be purchasing anything from them either...

Actually, I believe this is a purchase rather than a rental seeing that it is a special 20+ minute episode of the Robot Chicken televisions series.

my mistake. you're right. movies have the time limit while tv shows are 'yours' even though they're drm'd up the a**. i may actually download a tv show or two now.
i didn't realize that because my only experience with the video marketplace came with the austin powers movie that was made available for free. i downloaded that and when i finally went to watch it about two weeks later i received a message saying the content expired and was no longer available to me. a free freakin' movie had a time limit on it.
and if i can copy downloaded content to my psp from some future ps3 video store i may actually purchase something from there as well.
time limits and drm both suck... hopefully both services )when they're both available) improve over time
