I figure you're paying $50-ish (less nowadays, I think) for 3 titles (Episode 2, Portal, TF2). The others (Half Life 2, Episode 1) are just extras.

At least NOW the box art looks like it was DESIGNED instead of photoshopped.

And is Episode 3 releasing on the 360?

I don't know why everyone freaks out over the inclusion of HL2 and EP1. When I bought the orange box, I just steamgifted it to my friend. He was stoked and I think thats worth it.

Portal, while a wonderful and incredibly fun game, is not worth 20$.

I'm sorry, but you fail, because yes. Yes it is.

No, it's really not. It's short and has little to no replayability. Sure there are the advanced chambers, but once you've beaten those they offer nothing more. The challenges are there for the sadists.

There are custom maps but the vast majority of them aren't worth playing through.

Portal is a game that works in the Orange Box and if it was something like 10$ through digital distribution. I'm not going to spend 20$ on a game that took me ~4 hours to complete though.

I think I've played through it five or six times, at least. Then there's the advanced chambers. And the puzzle stuff, but I haven't played it.

Also it's an oddly good spectator game.

Besides, there have been games just as short for twice if not more the price. Honestly I'd pay $20 for the unique gameplay alone, this is stuff you don't get anywhere else.

I'm just waiting for the complete Half-Life 2 package that includes the three additional episodes.

I'd just buy Portal for 20 bucks and TF2 for 30 bucks... but I would had been able to have spent those 50 bucks on the Orange Box which would had included the extra Half-Life 2.

See the problem?
