Sorry forgot the /Sarcasm line... Although it is a pretty silly mistake on such a highly anticipated game... And I wanted to use the word blasphemers...

Let's cut Ross some slack, here. Tuesday is the 9th-- in the Hylian calendar, not our now-standard Gregorian calendar.

I've never played the game, but I've gotta say after spending a few days researching it on the dojo website I gotta admit I'm pumped! It looks like they're packing boatloads of content into the box and should lead to hours of entertainment. The Blockbuster near my house is doing a pre-ordered midnight shipment, and I'll be there with an eager look on my face.

But I wonder really...
Is this game actually coming out on a Sunday?...Sometimes reatilers/distributors make errors, and don't correct them till' the last minute. (this happened with another game as well...but I can't recall the name of it)
With that being sad, I think this game(on a Sunday, c'mon, REALLY NAO!) will come out on the 11th!

i dont know if you got one at launch or not (or if you even have one for that matter) but the Wii itself was also launched on a Sunday. they do this with their big games.
i have a theory that this is Nintendo's way of screwing with me since they know ill stay up all night playing it the first night knowing i have class (and a presentation due) in the morning. damn you and your spiteful ways Nintendo!

Nice to have you on the bandwagon...even if ur alittle late.
The Smash bros. games offer some of the deepest combat available in the fighting genre, not to mention the most rewarding as well. I know, I know, it's sort of hard to imagine how such a simle control scheme can be so deep...but that actually is the reason as to why it is so addicting. You can focus more on tactics rather than sitting there trying to pull off Jin Kazama's uppercut to kick to spinning demon uppercut.

A simple, consistent control scheme is the key to captures the attention of many gamers. Once you understand the core gameplay, I gather you can pick up any character and quickly learn their nuances and unique advantages.
Tekken was somewhat user-friendly in that you could simply button mash to excel. Each character's style was fluid enough, but it did involve some practicing and studying to truly master each character.
Mortal Kombat, on the other hand, is the worst of the lot. The commands to execute moves are too unique and required complete memorization, so there was a steep learning curve.

I can't wait for this game to come out.
There was another game I pre-ordered that came out on a Sunday... I can't remember what it was off the top of my head... possibly GH3? Anyways they had a midnight release and all that.

Ohh so thats why u guys never put Brawl on the list for this weeks game releases...yea, damn how do u screw up brawls release date?!
Posted: Mar 5th 2008 8:36AM (Unverified) said
Even if they didn't screw up Brawl's release date it would be on next week's releases...technically Sunday is the beginning of NEXT week...
Although working people (like myself) and students (once again like myself) forget that...
Ah whatever! This game needs to get here faster.

I guess you get to make up days when you have a big name release. I can see it now:
"Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, available on Bonerday, June 12!"

That's how big MGS4 is going to be... they are going to make their own holiday.
It's the day right after Katilsday in the middle of Smarch.

Maybe we should all exchange FC's here...the official Brawl Night Thread NAO! (We should all play together and learn each others tactics) I would add mine now, but I'm away from home:{
I haven't played in a while because I wanted to have a fresh experience, and start from scratch.

A separate page for 1 game. Not even the mighty Halo3 got this kind of treatment. Fascinating. Intriguing. I wonder, will this games final sales be closer to 3million or 5million?
