For those big Indiana Jones fans out there who were thinking of picking up the DVD box set of the original trilogy, it will be seeing a little something extra in that box on May 13. The special edition boxed set is set to come with a trailer and demo of the forthcoming game, Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, which is itself set to be released almost a month later on the 3rd of June. Unfortunately, our European readers are out of luck on this, as the promotion applies only to Region 1 discs, but it is likely that there will be a demo released via XBLM, after all, Lego Star Wars had a demo. With the new movie set to open worldwide a week after the special edition boxed sets, one would think that Lucasarts would've that promotion worldwide too. Oh well.

Why release a box set when the next movie isn't even out yet?
Box sets shouldn't exist until the series is done.
I could understand it if they had no idea they were going to make another one until they did like with Rambo or Rocky but the whole world knows the new Indiana Jones is coming out soon.
Gee, I'll drop $50+ bucks on an incomplete box set only to drop another $50+ in a couple of years on another box set.
Otherwise you're stuck having a box set and then the next movie just sort of standing there on the shelf next to the box.
This is why I don't buy DVD's.

Just answered your own question there! Why would they take 50 off you for all 4 if they can sell the 'trilogy' while the Indy hype is big and take another 50 off you when the 'quadology' (someone better check that!) is released a year or two down the line??
Anyway back on topic:
I'm sure this'll get bundled with the Region2 box set eventually. Not really a film buyer anyway so I'll just wait till it's on the XBLM. Hope it's as good as the Lego Star Wars Original Trilogy!

@thisguyrighthere - the trilogy has easily been out for over 5 years already... they are just going to be attaching the game to it...
I bought it the first day the trilogy came out on DVD... But the new movie wasnt even in production 5 years ago... Shia Leboef was still doing Even Stevens lol

They have taken pointers from George Lucas. Hell after this i bet we will see a "gold edition", "Extended edition", "never before seen footage edition", "Digitally remastered edition", "Original edition", "the other never before seen footage edition", "VHS edition",.....

No, Mr. Lucas and Mr. Spielberg, I will not re-buy the Indiana Jones Trilogy. The DVDs I already have are just fine.
I'm sure that Mr. Lucas has replaced Henry Jones Sr. with Hayden Christensen, so to infuriate us all and band us all together to fight him to re-release the trilogy again, but with both movies, but with the theatrical cut severely gimped.
I will wait for the game to come out. There's no need to re-buy this.
