I honestly think UE3 is complete crap! The characters and everything looks so shiny and its pretty overrated. But of course this is just my opinion. Seriously the engine should be optomized when its released for a system... Mass Effect for example-- completley unoptomized for 360. Texture errors everywhere. Not Biowares fault either... They could of polished the game a bit more graphics wise (gameplay its damn good) but really the engine needs some work...

And I'm not even talking about PS3.

UE3 I believe is being used way too much lately... though that doesn't mean its a bad engine. Its a great engine, its just games all start looking the same because they are all using them same engine. (Obviously not all, but many are going the way of UE3). Hopefully though, maybe that can do something a tad different with this. Hell we don't even know what his MMO is going to be about!

The UE3 engine is great when Epic is using it. Unfortunately, they don't feel like giving the 'good' version to anyone else.

Unreal Engine 3is like the new Furby. It'll be hot for a while because it's cheap and easy. Source is going on five years old and that still holds up against UE3. Nobody uses Source though because it's difficult to program for, and I hear Valve wants the soul of your firstborn to license.
