X3F Live: Maybe Next Time Buddy

I've put it off for way too long, I've procrastinated a bit too much, but tonight I'm going for it. With your help of course. Tonight at 9:30PM eastern (6:30PM pacific) I hope you'll join me as I make my way onto Xbox Live, play some Rumble Pit Halo 3 and finally try and earn my final Halo 3 achievement ... Maybe Next Time Buddy.

I'll need a few dedicated fanboys to join me in my adventure as we'll veto our way through Rumble Pit in an effort to get a vehicle equipped multiplayer map to appear (I believe Snowbound is the only option). It'll be rough as one cannot be sure when the correct map will appear, but we'll be diligent in our quest for Maybe Next Time Buddy glory. Shoot me a friend request (SuperDunners) and hop into my Halo 3 party tonight at 9:30PM eastern when this Maybe Next Time Buddy edition of X3F Live goes down.

Also, due to there being only one of me and only ~~seven~~ five other slots in the Rumble Pit party, we could possibly setup other Maybe Next Time Buddy achievement parties. If you're interested in hosting a Rumble Pit match whose goal is to earn this coveted Halo 3 achievement, simply comment below with your Gamertag, what time you'll be hosting and I'll update this post with the information. We'll make this the biggest, baddest and most successful Maybe Next Time Buddy achievement unlocking night EVAR! W00t!

Dustin I don't play but I got a buddy that visits this site regulary and is ranked like number 1 in Halo. He had said a month ago or so he wanted to play with you anyways so I'll send you his gamertag in a message.

Erm, isn't it Ranked only? So no parties allowed?

JBurton: this is one of the few that you don't need to be in ranked to get it. Despite my repeated pleas with my regular teammates to help me get it (even a few that I helped to get it), I can never find anyone willing to help me get it. If for some reason I can't get into Dustin's party, would anyone else be willing to help me get it?

Also, Dustin, there are only six slots in rumble pit, so it's gonna be tighter than you think.

But if this doesn't work out just do what I did, camp by the shield doors and hope for a stupid guest to board it instead of killing you, thus getting stuck in that area by the shotgun spawn.

Darnit! You're correct, there are only six slots open for rumble pit. If there is a demand for it, anyone willing to start another part of some Maybe Next Time Buddy funnery? Also, this is one of the only FFA achievements that can be earned in Rumble Pit unlike the others. See you all tonight!

You shoulda told me a little earlier about this...I forgot to bring my Haloz with me to rez this week... :( Damn...so much good stuff to play, just haven't had time for Haloz... :(

This achievement is really easy to get on your own. Sad that X3F is being used for this... but hey! good luck anyway!

It isn't sad, we're like a tight knit family here at X3F and earning an achievement together ... well, makes our community stronger :) Also, my friend's list is getting full ... just an FYI.

This is just a great idea. X3F SHOULD have more community nights! If it's CHEEVO whoring that brings us together, then so be it!

I got this achievement legit on snowbound with a sheild door blocking his fire and another person distracting the driver.
