Um... I'll be staying off of YouTube the week this game comes out.

May this game die a timely and uncerimonious death at the hands of THQ's marketing execs.

... and that's why crappy third parties games doesnt sell well on the Wii.

Why don't they make quality games? WiiWare is looking better than most of third party crap.

-Just look Guitar Hero III... 1.6 million, full bundle. (PS2 and 360 version have the advantage of buy the game alone)... it's selling a lot more than the PS3 version and just 300,000 behind the 360 version.

-Look how good is Resident Evil is doing, both RE4 and Umbrella already sold more than a million.

-No More Heroes is already at half million.

They deserve it... until they make games that can compete with Nintendo games, they deserve lower sales than Nintendo games. That simple.

Unfortunantly Fernandos the Wii is cheap to develop for, it has a large percentage of casual gamers so it is going to continue to receive alot of Krap.
This is not going to change, you will get the tried and true 1st party games...and alot of cheap 3rd party Krap.
Not many 3rd party developers are going to risk a big budget clunker on the Wii.

You are wrong in one thing... this is going to change... they are already developers focusing specifically in Wii games.

This Christmas and 2009 we should start seeing very good third party games...

Square is doing Wii games (White Engine, now Crystal Tools, are going to be adapted for the Wii), Capcom, Factor 5, Retro is making a new game, Valve is making Source engine Wii compatible, Atlus is doing games...

It's going to be a good year.

And don't be surprised if the Wii Rock Band version sells more than the PS3 version... it already happen with Guitar Hero III, and by a big margin.

Um, last I checked, NMH was at 100,000. Half a million would be about 500,000.

Yes, my bad... I was thinking in Zack and Wiki (not half million, but 300,000)

But NMH is not in 100,000, is in 200,000m without Europe release. (It will be released in a week)

I hate to say this but...

You assume this game is going to be bad, why? "Oh, it's cheerleading." Look, these are the assets of the project as we know it.

-Both versions are specifically targetted towards consoles with unique inputs. This is a new game for both consoles that isn't shovelware from PS2 soo bad even SCEA rejected it.

-This is by the guy who choreographed Bring It On. Horrible movie it may be, but the guy knows moves and how to make excessively elaborate sequences in REAL LIFE... now imagine when that limitation is removed.

-Some of the most ridiculous rhythm game concepts stand as the pillars of the genre. Ouendon (Elite Beat Against), DDR, Parappa the Rappa, Guitaroo Man, Samba De Amigo, and Bust A Groove.

Frankly, I'm not ready to give it the "pure shit" label until more is known about it. I wish more people would do the same. The core concept actually has potential... but this is also from a guy who's prizes amongst his PS2 import collection is Dance Summit 2001 and Beatmania....

I know hippies and I dislike them. I know them. You could even say "I was them". But my dislike is not for them, just their attitude. Especially the marijuana smoking ones. I'm not Conservative, I'm just saying.

But I could see them liking this game. A bit like DDR, maybe. But this game is clearly not for us. You know.

I think a lot of people are looking at this the wrong way.

Don't think of it as shovelware, think of it as a game that's not directed at the prima donna 'hardcore' gamers. Obviously, not many of us are gonna buy this game, but 9-12 year old girls who want to get into cheerleading might.

But this is just my guess.

It's kinda like the PS2... a lot of hundreds of casual titles and shovelware.

But at least it had more hardcore games from third party developers.

The Wii has a few hardcore third party titles, but it need more.

Small indie developers are creating amazing games, better than most of the retail crap. Why? Because is people who actually wants to make good games.

What wasted potential! You have a chance to put up a sexy picture of a cheerleader and you blow it by putting up a picture of a cheerleader's outline!

This is the failure of the week! Shame on you, Kyle Orland!

Actually, there was an Ouendan game on the NES, but it wasn't made by iNiS, even then there's Ouendan on DS so THQ's wouldn't be the first. Btw, Ouendan=cheering section=cheersquad=cheerleading.
