Some games seem destined for pre-announcement leaks. Add to that list Lost Planet: Colonies, the supposed next entry in Capcom's third-person action series. First came name drops by both the German ratings board and the ESRB. Now, more embarrassingly, comes a full list of Xbox 360 achievements for the game, before the game has even been officially announced.
360sync stumbled across the achievements, which they were later asked by Capcom to remove. We've confirmed that more information will be made available about the title next week, which leaves us plenty of time to speculate.
The impressive list of achievements hints at a full single player campaign, as well as a bevy of multiplayer modes, leading us to believe that this may very well be a retail title after all, and not simply a downloadable spin-off. Check out the full list of achievements after the break.

I think we're going to have to wait for that news coming next week.
If I had to guess though, I'd say it's a timed exclusive for the 360. Why? Because the PS3 version of the 1st game is just coming out.

I hate exclusives, gives you less choice... luckily I have all the relevant consoles of this generation.

I really think this one will just be a timed exclusive. They just released the 1st one on PS3 so they have to give it some time to sell.

As achievements go, those kind of suck. There's lots of collecting/grinding, but not anything that gets outside of what you'd want to do anyway. For comparison, here's a couple from Dark Sector I thought were good.
Glaive Master: Complete a level by only using the Glaive 10G.
Rebound: Kill an enemy with a reflected projectile 15G.
Its probably asking too much for ALL the achievements to be stuff like that, but they all the LP:C achievements seem like things you'd stumble onto by accident rather than asking you to use a different strategy.

Agreed. These sound even worse than the first game, which I only ever earned about 1/2 the achievements in.
Seriously. Find ALL target markers in ALL difficulties = 50pts. Fuck that.

Could these achievements be any more boring and pedestrian?

I agree. These achievements are really unimaginative. It seems like they gave this to someone and they wrote it up in 5-10 minutes.

I hope it's a 3rd person shooter, that improves the little bad parts of the old game. Like the grapple-hook aiming. And I could do without the T-ENG stuff, it was challenging, but not really fun.

This game has tons of potential, but they just need to make sure theres lots of content and great gameplay for gamers, as well as DLC.
