My friend used his Wii as a mouse pad for a little while around Christmas time.

He said it was to show the multi-functionality of the Wii. He was being ironic. I know this because he had that ironic smile of his. He then said the Wii was a "true gaming machine". He likes to use air inverted commas. He was being ironic.

I said his irony was not funny, rather tedious, and definitely not creative. He agreed with me. Later, he asked whether I was being serious. I said, "probably, yeah".

I believe you mean sarcastic, not ironic.

I think you're right.

Those feet in the picture just brought up that story for me. I should ask him whether he was being ironic or sarcastic.

He probably won't remember though. I hate it when I remember the smallest things/stories and the friend/person can't recall a single thing about it, and vice-versa.
