Isn't that the "Doing Hard Sums In Your Head Makes You Look Intense" pose as championed by Joey Tribbiani?

I think it should be fine as long as they still have a hefty budget and the same production values. Remember, David Jaffe wasn't really hands-on with GoW2, and had nothing to do with the PSP title, so hopefully Bioshock is the same with Kevin Levine taking a similar hands-off approach.

I think having someone like Jaffe or Levine there to guide the sequel is helpful, but I think GoW2 came out better for the hands-off approach Jaffe had; it stopped the game from becoming too homogeneous (well, as much as you can do that with a game about stabbing everyone until they stop being there), but kept continuity going and may have been what avoided that arduous Pandora's temple slough that saps your will to live when playing GoW1.

Here's hoping for new, but still good, things from Bioshock 2: Electric Boogaloo

This is good news, very good news.

As far as what the sequel should be about, I personally think using the "bad ending" of the first game as a starting point would be a good idea. I won't spoil anything, but it would be a different setting and a continuation of what we've seen.

I personally like that idea better than a prequel, because we basically already know what happened in Rapture before the events of Bioshock thanks to the audio diaries and the like. I want to see where the story could go after the events of the original game.

To me BS is a meek and under deved game the AI is as weak as the PC port is out of the box, add to it the uber mainsteamized direction of the game.....the diffrance in SS2 and BS are astounding to me one is whiskey the other water,I knew they were going to water it down alil...but I was expecting a simple cooler type beverage of a game not pasteurized piss(tap water).

Not say the game is a complete wash, but for me it stacks up to being mediocre, Dark messiah was more ground breaking and innovative and fun..... and ubisoft pissed all over themselves to buy it up rename it and puke it out as a knock off..what I am getting at is both DM and BS need finishing but DM is more of a complete product and BS is a halo sequle(not even as good as H1.. I don't like H2 and H3 :P ).....

What can I say I am a game nazi :P

No, you are not a game Nazi. You are just someone who cannot seem to recognize a good game, even if it slapped you in the face. I am not saying BS was perfect, and yes, i agree with you point that it was somewhat watered down compared to SS2, but it's in a different league to DM.

I think your final comment gives you away. 'BS is a halo sequle' - nice spelling by the way ;-)

Having played BS, how anyone with any gaming background or knowledge can call it a halo 'sequle' either needs to find a new hobby or stop posting in sites like this.

Other than the actual view point (First Person), Halo and BS are very, very different games.

Look at the over all content and direction of Halo as it moves from seqaul to seqaul, content goes down you might get more weapons/physics/graphics but polish on the gameplay goes down in areas.

BS is something that should have been a great game but because of the focus and direction of it its made mediocre, I can't even finished it because its boring to play between the AI and freebies its must to easy to play.

Is BS a bad game despite my game (ad)nazism I can see it as a barely good game I am simply not impressed by it, which is strange because I was rather impressed with parts of DM, I really can not point anything worth while out about BS the story is o better or worse than anything else I have seen, the characters are ok the story and art direction is above average but thats it, the gameplay itself feels weak and generic, the plasmids are cute but not very varied a bit shallow and generic the weapon mods nice but again meek and shallow overall its a game that had so much potential but it was brushed aside to fit in a thimble.

Even Crysis has more polish on it and tis a simplistic sandbox gun & run!

DM so far is the newest FPS RPG to hold enough potential and swagger, BS comes close but prefers to take the shallow end because it was made for shooter/console fans and no one else.

I spent 5 hurs pouring over the 5 levels checking how stuff worked and I was sicken and sadded by missing details and potinail.

So BS is a ok game but has lost to much for temporary critical success.

For me BS is a loss for gamers unless the team can make a real FPS RPG game(BS with inventory and more depth in powers/weapons) until then they are nothing more than another dev team hacking out games for mindless pubs.

BTW I love me some adventure style FPS's I loved call of cuthulu and squee over the mid 90s FPS I tend to hate the newer smaller gun and run crap feasts (D3,Q4,Jericho,UT03,DX2,ect,ect).

So I should love BS as well bu the build up and the leis I am sorry BS is what it is another watered down for the consoles title that lost all of its charm and direction due to it,my biggest gripe is the AI its like they didn't even try....

Get me the SDK let me play with the code I might could cal it a 7 but as it is out of the box its a 5-6 (average/above average).
