That's a pretty cool concept. Obviously not the kind of thing you'd want to implement in Call of Duty or something, but in survival horror games, making reloading etc a cumbersome process that players pretty much have to do when they're not in danger is smart.

Flash-based internet media players have become far too common. When I saw that picture, I immediately clicked the pause button to resume my video.

I'm getting really sick of the fact that developers are beginning to force their concept of "realistic gameplay" down our throats without even giving us an option otherwise. This reminds me of Burnout Paradise - Whenever Criterion's lead developer opens his ignorant maw about "real life open-endedness" and "learning the city, like in real life" as an excuse for not having a restart option, I want to kick him down a flight of stairs.

If developers feel like forcing specific "realistic" atmospheres on us - fine. But at least give us something in the option menu to disable it in case there exist players who don't enjoy that aspect.

Agreeed...

In fact Criterion made their game so realistic that I didn't buy it...

I'm praying that Grid turns out tobe uberawesome...I desperately need a good racing game.

Almost as much as the Joystiq team going for a meal at GDC. Lets face it, gamers in general don't hold back on the food unless it gets in the way of a 12 hour Brawl marathon or something like that.

The same thing was done 10 years ago in the System Shock games. It really does make it scarier, knowing you can't simply deal with your inventory whenever you want.

This is hardly something anyone should get all pissy about.

So the title actually refers wrangling your inventory space is dead mans land.
