Right now, stop what you're doing. (Unless what you're doing is open-heart surgery, in which case, what are you even doing here? He's crashing!) There's nothing more important now than for you to go play Warlords Online, a new massively multiplayer online game (MMO, on the streets) from Infinity Interactive, developers of Puzzle Quest.
Basically, you'll be completing simple puzzles to earn gold, using that money to buy an army, exert your might and claim the world for your own. It's a little bare bones at the moment (not to mention the fact that the servers are getting slammed) but it reeks of promise. Seriously, there are stink lines of potential emanating from the monitor. Check it out for yourself and see if you don't agree.

Puzzling MMO? Sounds like Puzzle Pirates may not have a monopoly on the genre for long...

I got Puzzle Quest on DS after seeing rave reviews everywhere only to get stuck on the 2nd bloody mission. I'm not a huge fan of bejeweled but the game is impossible. For the first time in history I wished I was playing a WW2 shooter.

It is tough in the beginning. But you have to power through to reap the delicious puzzley rewards.

I had the same problem, I kept on dying. Until I became more powerful, it felt the outcome was wholly based on luck.

I agree with Justin and Syn. At first, you must concentrate on getting skulls in battle. Get as many as you can and keep your opponent from getting them if possible. When you level up and get some gold, you can concentrate more on spells and items. The game then gets easier - you can take some damage while saving magic to unleash some tide-turning attacks.
God I love PQ.

This is not what I wanted Warlords Online to be. I was hoping it'd be the old turn-based strategy title Warlords from the Amiga. THAT game? Awesome.

This sounds brilliant! Sign me up. Gah!! 4 hours later and the site is still a mess, I really want to check this out. Big fan of puzzlequest and this sounds like another fantastic blend of genres. Thanks for pointing it out.

I am a big fan of the Warlords and Warlords Battlecry series(the latter more). I haven't played this game, so I can't give it a fair review, but I say stick with it, things will get better(there's supposed to be multiple minigames, eventualy).
And if you don't like this? Go get Warlords Battlecries 1, 2, and 3. 1 has a great, well thought out storyline with multiple endings, Warlords Battlecry 2 is great for mass on mass carnage, and Warlords Battlecry 3 is the best one, I think, thus far, with many balanced or re-balanced races, very customizable character creation and leveling, and a storyline that you have complete control over.
It's such a shame to hear the last game in th trilogy has started off so poorly.
