If Vincent Van Gogh was a video game he'd be Gran Turismo 5... GT5 is the epidemy of perfect (if that makes sense, first time ive used the word epidemy hehe)

I think you meant "epitome".

Props for trying though.

@NineT9

It was a good first try but the word you're searching for is actually "epitome."

Hah. Let's see M$ achieve this feat on the 360. A 'demo' to a full game goes platinum with just pre orders.

Oh and the 360 price cut is in dangerous jeopardy of failing...

They're short on supply, remember?

Yah, right!

I can't wait for the second quarter numbers.

I can hear it now at M$. "I know were having production problems and all, and I know we cant even keep up with the massive demand for our RROD system, but we really need to drop the price right now. You know, to help with our "production problems"

I'm going to buy this game anyways, so I might as well preorder it at Gamesrop and show my support for GT and PS3.

Every time i go to Victoria station or Piccadilly etc (in London), they are always playing a video of GT5P in the small televisions.

I'll be pre-ordering later this weekend. GT is always quality and after seeing all that is included in this "demo" its easily worth the $40. The other $40 game I have, Warhawk, was just as worth it, and how can you complain about being minus the $20 of most games?

All I hope is that GT5 is a hundred times better than GTHD. That was diabolical. I mean for ****'s sake, I understeered then screeched off the road into the fence in a Ferrari at 21mph! Yeah, because that's what would happen in a real car.........

DelSource: go back to your arcade games. If you can't drive on the GT series, you can't drive. You also might want to do some research involving physics. That would require you to read, however. Good luck.

@John, why don't you drink a little less of the Hatorade you pathetic little child. Or get some anger management counselling. Or just get laid.

PS Driving every day tells me supercars don't screech off the track at 21mph. I don't need a physics lecture to know that is bullsh*t, but thankls.

These are likely retailer orders, not pre-orders collected from customers at game shops.

It's being advertised nicely. I was at a costco today, and ALL their tv's were playing the ad simultaneously.

Needless to say, looked incredible on the 50incher I wanted....

hmpf.

We have to thank Top Gear for this as well.

Europeans have a new found love for cars and dislike for some Alabamans after watching that show :)

I would not just call this a huge demo; there is multiplayer, splitscreen, single player (5 or 6 tracks), ALOT of cars, wonderful graphics.

No this is a "real" game!

One thing I just find crazy is that the downloadable version cost the same as the Blu-ray version. There is no doubt what I would pick :P

GT shifts huge numbers, always. I know 6 Dreamcast owners who hated the PS2, who after seeing GT3 bought a PS2 the same week it came out.

Everyone I know who switched from PS2 to 360 has been talking about getting rid of it for a couple of months now, 2 of them are just waiting for this, the rest seem likely to fold soon after.

It's not even a full game.

Spooky, the GT5 Prologue advert just came on in the ad break from the Formula 1 race.

Looks great.

Well what can i say, very impressive numbers indeed, this is absurd tho GT5 Prologue is just a small portion of the full version of GT5, seen the advert on tv today an i have to say this looks awesome the detail looks outstanding, this demo is going to be huge an ive got to say its going to shift a truck load of PS3 units in europe alone an not forgetting america an japan :-D

I guess the prologue's profits will cover the dev cost of the full game and the profit from the full game will be pure profit? Maybe they can afford to smash some cars to do some real damages.
