We'd like to make a note of David Hadju's new book, The Ten-Cent Plague: The Great Comic-Book Scare and How It Changed America. It takes a look at how the federal government's involvement in censoring comics damaged the comic book industry. There are quite a few parallels to draw from this and what video games have to face. Since this is a highlight of video game webcomics, we thought it'd be dually poignant. Here are our picks for the week's best game-related webcomics. Be sure to vote for your favorite! (Voting after the break)
- A Price Cut (RPG-TV)
- Dongs Are Everywhere (Penny Arcade)
- Cut Above the Rest (Dueling Analogs)
- Going Online (VG Cats)
- Deja Vu (2P Start)
- Dots (The Librarianist)
- Causing Violence (Cectic)
- Oh, Why the Hell Not (Scout Rush)

Penny Arcade actually made a genius penis joke.
VGcats really nailed the online experiences of the different consoles.
Cectic had a really great broad perspective of media.
And Scout Rush was just twisting the blade in Eliot Spitzer's wound.

STOP right there. Kinder chocolate was one of the best believe me. Maybe you picked one of the Kinder imitations that taste awful.
The toys included where either great or just lame depending on which one you pick, sometimes there were these cool metal robots or sometimes a gnome figurine which wasn't so bad.

You killed a soldier and picked him up/dropped him continuously to get stuff from him. It looked a helluva lot like humping the guy.
CAD's storyline sucks, very bad. But his game centric comics are sometimes good.

Penny Arcade: A really immature penis joke.
Dueling Analogs: Almost funny, but meh.
VG Cats: The first panel is okay, but the last two just don't work. The second panel is inappropriate and the last one isn't funny, especially since Home isn't out yet.
Deja Vu: Blowing in your Wii is a really bad idea. It's not like a NES cart.
The Librarianist: Meh. Not that amusing.
Cectic: Anti-religious bigotry.
Scout Rush: Meh. And the story isn't funny, it's tragic. That guy has a family, and children!

RPG-TV's was alright but the 360 is still £200 for the worthwhile model. That's not exactly Kinder Egg stuff.
Hey, I think these were all pretty weak, and I stand by that. I voted for DA, by the way.
