DS Fanswag: Pick up a professor-approved puzzle pack!

Need a couple of new games to play? DS Fanboy is here for you with another awesome prize pack. This time, we've got Professor Layton and the Curious Village ($29.99), along with Brain Challenge ($19.99). Could two games be any more similar, and yet different? You'll have to try to win them and find out! All you have to do is leave a comment below telling us about your favorite puzzle game of all time.

We've got some good news with this contest as well -- DS Fanboy giveaways are now open to Canadian readers (except for Quebec, sadly)! So if you're 18 or older, and a legal resident of the United States or Canada (minus Quebec), you're cleared to enter once per day between now and March 23. Picross, it's ridiculously addicting, and i played it for months. Hell, i even made picross puzzles on scrap paper during drivers ed classes last summer.

My favorite puzzle game is also my first puzzle game, Tetris.
Whenever I play it always reminds me of when I got my Gameboy when I was a little kid.

MY all time favorite puzzle game is Chess. But recently I have had a good time with Hexic.

Yoshi Tetris for SNES is great with friends!

I think I have to go with Tetris as well. I don't really play any other puzzle games, but haven't played Tetris in a while either. Other than that, I might say Dr. Mario/Virus Buster.

im not sure if tetris is a puzzle game, so i wont say tetris, but 2nd to tetris, picross. Ive done so many picross puzzles its not even funny.... and i find allot of things funny :O

Does EBA, Frogger, or the Ace Attorney games count? If they don't,it's Pogo Island.

I can't stop playing Picross...although my wife recently got me hooked on this new Sodoku thing everyone is talking about...just a fad

I think my favorite puzzle game is Portal but I have yet to experience Layton so it may well change! XD

I'm a big fan of Tetris (specifically the DS version) but I think the puzzle game that kept me addicted for the longest was Meteos. A great twist on the Tetris Attack gameplay with an intriguing "soundtrack" was enough to keep me hooked for months.

Why can't I participate from Argentina? No fair...

In any case, my most favorite puzzle games of all time HAVE to be all of the LucasArts graphic adventures of way back. Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, Day of the Tentacle, The Dig, Full Throttle, etc... Those were the days.

More traditional puzzlers that I really enjoy: Picross DS, Professor Layton and the Curious Village and Portal. Yes, Portal IS a puzzle game.

I love Picross DS, too. BUT I'm really interested in Prof. Layton, so I really wish I win!

I'll be lame and say Sudoku - starting the day with a puzzle is always a great way to get my brain working.

Donkey Kong for the original Game Boy is my favorite nostalgic puzzle game.

Going to have to go with Picross...it's just...great...

I remember playing "Memory" when it was very young. But I cut my "gaming teeth" on the now-defunct Tengen Tetris.

True story: my local rental place had this version and I checked it out several times. For years, I complained I couldn't find it and don't like playing other versions. Just found out last year while watching a documentary that the Tengen version was pulled for copyright and licensing issues. I miss the little dancing guys and cool music. :(

Cathedral is the best puzzle game. Imagine a flat tetris game.

Sudoku is probably my favorite puzzle. I'm a sucker for number puzzles.

God, I loved this game, even though I swear one level was impossible to beat. (I think my dad and I got up to 189 or something. It was rediculous).

And if you want to call the Myst games puzzle games....

I have to say the 2nd one was my favorite: Riven (since its the only I ever beat on my own.)

Huh, favorite puzzle game of all time? Well, i do have to say i'm a big fan of all the old sierra adventure games, which are kind of like puzzle games...

But instead i'll say it is a tie between Picross and Slitherlink on the DS.

I really liked Picross and Meteos, but I'd have to say Hotel Dusk: Room 215 was my favorite.

Many people might call it an adventure game, but its puzzle elements were great.
