Ubisoft reps confirmed at the Play.com Live event to Ripten in a "resolute fashion," and with an "as far as [we] know" to our own man on the scene, that Haze will remain a PS3 exclusive and won't come out for Xbox 360. Publisher Ubisoft and developer Free Radical must have gotten something nice out of the exclusivity deal other than money, because we all know that Sony doesn't buy exclusives.
Haze, which was originally announced for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, was later hinted as a timed exclusive for the PS3. The game is now expected to release in May on PS3 and ... well, never for anything else.

Because all gamers are like that, they hype every game up until it is so hyped it can only succeed, and if it doesn't its a big dissoppointment, even more so then it would have been if iddiots hadn't have hyped it.
Hmm, let me see, Assassin's creed, Halo 2, urm Duke Nukem :)

The reason this game looks generic is because it follows too much in Halo's footsteps, apart from the plot. It tries to recreate something that has already been created and successful.
Personally, despite the success of Halo 3, after playing 1, 2 and 3 just didn't give me the same satisfaction, 2 was boring, and 3, well what else can I add, but when a game tries to copy a game that I already find generic...well think, what catagory could I possibly put that game in.
A generic generic maybe?
I'll still try this game out, but I'm more excited about Resistance, Killzone and Timesplitters 4 at this point in time.

Saying that, I may be horribly wrong.
Haze demo may be crap, but the actual game, legendary, and a game I will come to love, but until I play it, its keeping that distance from my 'excitement' ranging.

i did a little math...i took the first 100 game reviews for each system and came up with this..
360 average 6.7
ps3 average 6.8
wii average 6.0
i'll take an 8.0 game any day, thanks.

Why do I find more criticism of this game then praise? Generic FPS? Ok, perhaps, but what's wrong with that? I for one am sick of the one colored, super-realistic, gray looking environment, lack of competent vehicles, an inability to jump and the lack of a life-bar. Arcade FPS games are almost dying off out now. Now sure this looks a lot like Halo, but, what's wrong with that? Halo is an amazing game, if this one could be half as good, wouldn't that be a positive? There really isn't anything about this game that should provoke criticism, well, perhaps that it's PS3 exclusive. I don't know, I'll be happy with an 8/10, hell I'll even be happy with a 7/10, seems like a fun game to play, doesn't have to be prefect.

These are the same guys who developed GoldenEye and TimeSplitters. I'm excited because of that, not because it's a PS3 exclusive.

Yeah, but Ubisoft was responsible for the creation of COD4, hard to believe they made Assassin's creed.

Ubisoft had nothing to do with COD4. Activision did. Moron.

Fernando, you're pathetic. *WHY do you constantly have to taint every single Playstation related story on this site?
here's some news for you:
1. Haze was made by Free Radical
2. Free Radical has had more than just a helping hand in the creation of these classic games: Goldeneye on the N4, Perfect Dark 64, the great Timesplitters Series, and Second Sight, which has one of the best stories in gaming, and fun gameplay (if not perfect).
*THOSE REASONS ALONE are the reasons why i'm looking forward to Haze.
in the same way that people look forward to a Bioware, Bungie, Kojima, or Miyamoto release, some of us look forward to a Free Radical release.
why? because the company has a pedigree of making some damn fun games. end of story.
you aren't being amusing, funny, or cute when you troll these forums. the fact that you haven't been banned yet speaks volumes for the thought processes of the joystiq runners. grow up, Fernando, you little douche.

Pathetic.
Just pathetic.
The game isn't even out yet and already fanbrats are bashing it, calling it the *next* Halo. I swear, if this game gets a 9/10, I'm going to laugh at all of you jackasses who said it'll be rubbish.

It didn't look so hot from the trailer.....and the story sounded so rehashed.....
A Big MEH unless they managed to do something really different with it.
I am intrigued more by FRACTURE and the Possible return of RED FACTION

I think Haze still has lots of promise... the only thing that scares me is all of the delays... Hopefully they are polishing it up and not fixing what is to broken to be fixed
