WiiWare dev: XBLA is 'full of sh*t'

Jeff Minter can't blame the amount of games on a service because his game wasn't good.

So wait.. He's complaining there is too many options on XBLA basically? Wow some people will spin anything. Also even if Virtual Console is seperate from WiiWare, to lessen the confusion between retro and non-retro, I'd venture to say it make things confusing. Now you've got to go to two places to look up games. Past that what happens with games like XBLA games like Prince of Persia or the upcoming Bionic Commando, in this separation scheme? Are they really retro, because they've been updated?

That's funny because so many Wii games are shit.

Somehoe I don't see how these guys think they are going to score on WiiWare -- Nintendo has made it clear that they will allow pretty much anyone to put games on the service -- with no quality control, no feature requirements, nothing. WHich means a glut of games -- most of which will be shit. It is going to be a wild west marketplace. And you can bet Nintendo will do nothing to promote smaller titles -- if a game sells, it will end up on the feature page and to hell with everyone else.

I am not sure why anyone is yelling about XBLA having a "glut" of retro titles either. First - that is all Nintendo has shipped so far -- they are the king of retro crap with no enhancements -- plus how many retro games has XBLA shipped in the past several months?

well i've been a huge Nintendo fan for years so don't all attack me at once, but even if that statement were true, at least it's only applicable to XBLA. The 360 has an awesome selection of (retail) games. The Wii, on the other hand, has much more than it's fair share of shovelware. I can't imagine that Wiiware will be any different at all. Time will tell Mr anonymous developer - if that is, indeed, your real name.

If I state that the XBLA is full of shit, does anything happen? Do I get my own article? I've developed HL2 mods, so I'm obviously a developer! As opposed to this monkey who's just helping make a dupe of the existing Virtual Console service (I don't care what 'isms' are new this time around, you pay to download software. that means it's the same damn thing).
