That crazy Ben Heckendorn is at it again. No he's not shoving an Xbox 360 into an even tinier laptop (360book Air, anyone?), but instead making some refinements to his one-handed controller. The new controller is much smaller, and also a little bit easier on the eyes than his previous model. With the right stick on the top, and face buttons, triggers, and bumpers on the bottom, it's got everything you need for some one handed fragging. The right stick, in case you're wondering, is meant to be placed on a leg or available surface, thus manipulating the stick by moving the controller itself. Pretty ingenious if you ask us. Don't go crazy trying to procure one for yourself though, as it wasn't intended for mass consumption. Ben's other one handed controller, called the Access, on the other hand, is soon to be made available to the masses.

Why in the world would anyone, other than maybe someone missing an arm or something, want a one handed controller?

A good 70% of the nation - nay, world - is right handed. If you play that thing in said hand, what on Earth can you do with your left? He needs to make it left handed, leaving the right free...
...but I have *no* clue why.

Sircolby45, Ben gets orders for this kind of thing all the time, from people who've lost hands, or born without them. Gets a lot of inquiries from Gulf War II Vets as well

horngreen - maybe you should point your political rants elsewehere if you have a problem with the war. Last time I checked it wasn't the XBox or the guy who made a one handed controller for an injured vet who caused the damn war.
Maybe the idiot is you today?

i totally would want one of those so i can play with one hand and use the other for computer use or eating food, and not sacrificing half the controller 2 do so

I love what Ben Heck does, but does anyone else think that 8 buttons for 4 fingers is too many? I think, at least to me, it would make more sense to keep the right side of the controller the same, thumbstick and 4 buttons, and then have the triggers and bumpers controlled by the other fingers. But that's just me..... Marvelous though that he can do anything with a console.... I REALLY want one of those laptops...

I am not knocking him at all. As I stated in my post I was simply asking why anyone "that is not missing an arm or something" would want one of those. I wasn't trying to bash him for making it at all.

I personally would, like stated above, rather have the right side of the controller about the same as far as buttons go, with a stick for my pointer finger, and then bumpers and triggers on the under side. maybe the d pad down by the bumpers.
